Description

Four tombs hewn in the cliff of the mountains. Worth a stop when visiting Persepolis, but not worth the high entrance fee as you cannot get close or in the tombs. Photograph from entrance and road side.

Latest Check-Ins

You're a true cheapskate if you are not willing to pay just $2 (1 million Rial) for this 2.500 year old piece of history. The small entrance fee is definitely worth to see the tombs and reliefs from up close. Good information provided too.

Report Check-In

The entrence fee is 1 Mio Rials with is 3 Euro. Keep in mind that they maintain the place. For me it is worth it. But if you just want to stop by for the foto you can do so. I want to get close explore and feel the place.

Naqsh and Rostam is a highlight and should not be missed. From the street or from the parking lot you can not see everything that is worth seeing. We recommend a visit (higly).

Report Check-In

We disagree on "not worth the high entrance fee":
1st: the 200tsd Rl . are about what you'd pay for a sip of beer in Western Europe
2nd: while it is true you cannot get close to the tombs, you will see incredibly big and impressive stone reliefs which you definitely CANNOT see from the entrance or the road side
We almost gave this site a miss based on the comments from judith_wilfred - we are happy we went there!

Report Check-In

We confirm it. So expensive to enter and photographs from road side are good. But it worth when you visit Persepolis. The site is amazing. We had slept at the end of the dirt track on the rigth a few meters before the site.
