Something not right?

Description

RV park in the back of the hotel. Paved parking lot priced at 600 pesos/night. Full hookups, but marginal quality. Nice pool open seasonally (Jan - no, Mar - yes). Playground. Restaurant and bar. Saltillo is a big city with lots to see in the area. Good stop before/after border crossing. Fast ATT and Telcel.

Hotel with RV parking out back in town. Saltillo is not a small town and we ended up in rush hour traffic. Navigating was big city'ish when we got there. Once your there, off the 40, you will make a hard right between the hotel and KFC. Not a big deal. With a larger rig you would want to take the turn wide, but nothing different then you would in any other urban setting. You'll come to a gate, jump out, go to reception, pay (they charged us 600 pesos for full hook ups). Once in, you'll drive all the way back and turn right to a parking lot with services. The place is really neat and dated. Being winter, the pool and other amenities we're shut down. There's old Disney characters painted everywhere, old children's playground, looks like they used to host events, etc. We found it interesting. Lots of good food close by. All and all, if you don't mind being in the city, a good spot for an overnight before heading to the border. We were able to leave here at 7:30, cross through Eagle Pass and be in San Antonio, TX by dinner. Oh... if you need to head north on the 57 from here, you'll need to take a left out of the compound (you can't turn left on the 40), and wiggle your way through the side streets. No issues with our 21' trailer, 12' high.

Quiet parking lot in hotel grounds with electricity and water for 600 pesos a night.
we were the only ones here on a Tuesday night.
For Canadians there's Tim Hortons across the road, we hadn't seen one for 6 months, the kids were excited about the Tim bits.

Excelente lugar para estacionar, cuenta con baños, internet y lavandería, es pet friendly y el personal es muy amable

As described bellow. Staff super nice. Laudru for 30$ per kilo.

Report Check-In

Arrived early in the day. Looks like they are renovating a few rooms. Unfortunately several of the AC outlets in the trailer park area have been damaged.

Hopefully they’ll get them fixed.

Report Check-In

Parking lot in the backyard of the hotel. Quiet evening with the cicadas to listen to.

Report Check-In

The price is now $600 pesos per night. Nothing else has changed from previous comments.

Report Check-In

600 pesos now, hot showers. RV parking is also a church parking lot, they meet on Thursdays night - great rock music!

Report Check-In

It’s an ok place to overnight, friendly people and Cleo is one of the maintenance guys. (Very nice guy)

Report Check-In

It's the middle of the partying around the Christmas holidays so a bit noisier than usual. Not bad, though. We had to switch to a different electric outlet because the first stopped working. Thankful we have a very long cord. Water pressure is not great but that's true for most RV camps in Mexico. We stayed one night before heading further south. Very nice people in the office and on the grounds. The restaurant doesn't open until 8 pm so we went down the street past the KFC and ate at El Feligrez. Expensive but we were very tired and wanted something close. We would stay here again.

Checked in on Thursday October 27th for 2 nights.
Thursday night and Friday provided A nice quiet spot in the heart of the city, which is basically a parking lot with water, sketchy 30 amp electricity and sewer.

Unfortunately a party was booked Friday night in the park directly behind the trailer park. The guest were all using the RV lot for parking. It did not feel very secure.

The Boom box and pounding bass beat music started at 10:30. When we complained to management, they sent Security over to tell us the party was legit and would only last 3 hours. They offered that we could move to park somewhere on their property away from the party. We pulled up the jacks, pulled in the slides, and moved to a quiet section of the resort. Slept like a log!!

Be sure to ask if there are any parties booked in. The park behind the RV lot!!

Report Check-In

Wifi at the reception at entrance road only, 200m away. The pool was empty, the childrens playground looked. No shade at the RV park. Apart from some street and train noise, quiet nights. Lavanderia on site, 40p/kg.

Report Check-In

As described, except we don't see any Indians playing cricket. In fact, no Indians at all.

A good, seems to be safe, place. A little run down - one wing of rooms is being renovated. 500 seems like a lot for basically an off-street parking spot - the price of security in Mexico.

Beware the "montachoques" between here and Nuevo Laredo - particularly the stretch between Monterey and Saltillo. We were lucky - just superficial damage to the campervan and we paid nothing. The three pretty threatening hombres took off when they heard us talking to 911. We reported the incident to the Guardia Nacional at the next toll booth. They heard us out but did absolutely nothing.

Update on the Indians - they are still here 😀

Report Check-In

Nice Place to stay. Friendly staff. Good pool to beat the heat.

Report Check-In

Back again. Nothing different, even the Indian cricketers (IT guys on long contract) were still here. It’s still a great stop near the border and a city worth visiting. Pool open. $500

Report Check-In

Good spot. Easy entry. The RV area had a bunch of Indian IT guys playing cricket so we parked in the driveway for a while.

A quiet place to sleep without worries. It is expensive for what you but but... peace of mind.

Report Check-In

Peut-être un peu cher pour le Mexique mais en euros c'est raisonnable. On a eu les services qu' on attendais: électricité, eau et vidage. Très calme, Nous étions seuls.

Report Check-In

the pool is closed there is no wifi and 500 pesos is expensive but we have nothing better for the moment here

Report Check-In

500MXN a night. Located at the back of the hotel in a parking lot. Electric and water (not potable) at sites. Definitely too much for what you're getting. We only stayed because it was late when we arrived into town. Washrooms open and showers too. However not sure if the water got hot.

Report Check-In

parking lot in back of hotel. had to ask to have shower/washroom unlocked. 484 pesos per night. quiet and they're renovating may looose those spaces

Report Check-In

RV park in the back of the hotel. Nothing more than an expensive concrete parking lot priced at 500 pesos/night. We ended up asking our money back (which they did without a problem) and leaving after we discovered that there were no amenities. Even the bathrooms were locked up.
