Description

Motorcycle friendly (drive through Juanita’s living room for secure parking) as well as pet friendly (Juanita loves dogs and has two of her own). The hotel is getting a little tired (could use some fresh paint) but is very clean and a great place to stay over looking the river. We stayed on the second floor where we spent time relaxing on the balcony that overlooks the river. Juanita is very welcoming.

Pleasant little hotel exactly as described except place has a fresh coat of paint and each room has fairly new a/c heat pumps. We secured our motorcycles in the courtyard although town seems very safe. Very friendly locals in town square right across the street. Rooms clean, everything works and reasonable price.

We were charged 700 pesos for two people. Place was comfy enough. Hot water, A/C, secure parking for motorcycles (shut off engine as you literally roll through the house).
Wifi was so-so; it only worked in the courtyard, which is shaded by the trees.
A few convenience stores and restaurants are within walking distance. Hours at these businesses seem limited, especially on Sundays.

Pretty hotel. A bit old, but a beautiful colonial building and friendly owner. We were 4 people in the room and paid 700. For 2 people it would have been 600 (she wouldn’t go lower and directed to Hotel Mary if it was too much for us). Right at the plaza, pretty little town.
Small awareness point for if you’re planning on visiting any time soon: we were surprised entering the town and seeing that the road was blocked because of construction. There’s only 1 road to enter the town and it was blocked. The only other option is only possible if you have a high clearance 4 wheel drive, because it means driving in the river bend and crossing the actual river several times. This was no option for us, so we had to park our van 2km away at the entrance of the town.

We spent 2 nights here during the bike race week end, town was busy but we managed to get a room. Juanita still lets motorcyclist roll their bikes through her dining room to keep them safe in the courtyard.
Prices right now start at $400 for a king, $600 for 2 queens and up from there.
Nice place, Juanita is super friendly, lovely courtyard to relax in and look over the river.

Friendly Juanita greeted me, told me to drive my motorcycle thru her house into the courtyard overlooking the river. Clean, bright room and peaceful river view. 350 pesos/single 500/double. no wifi but available free in the park out front.

We would have liked to stay here. Looks very nice, but there is no secure parking of vehicles just motorcycles.

Great little place. bikes in courtyard through door. no wifi. clean 300/n kingsize bed with bathroom out of season. Courtyard nice river view. The place to stay for moto riders in Bato. One thing, it gets hot here.. so youre best coming in late, I took 3 hrs to do the 65km from the canyon rim (off the main road) mostly stopping for photos for the best light. I arrived at 7 with an hr of light to spare. it was 40 degrees (from 25 on the rim).

Really cool small town hotel right at town square and the river at the back of the property. Hotel is clean and rooms are basic and comfortable. Nice drinking beers while watching the river and locals going their way. Their is a bar across the road and a small shop close by. Stayed here on referral from SMBoilerworks and it's as described. Paid 300oddpesos for us both in room with 2 double beds.
If not having aircon or WiFi bothers you get drunk. It's a groovy town.
