Mohsen is very nice and helpful. If you need something in Bojnourd, he is the guy to ask. He can quickly guide to you workshops and helps to translate. Of course it’s fair to pay a commission for it.

Mohsen is just great and very helpful!
Within shortest time he quickly organizes a new handle for my broken window crank.
Right around the corner from his workshop you can have your camper truck washed for 600,000 IRR and people are very happy when they tip 100000 IRR!
Mohsen speaks a good English and even a little German.
This man is highly recommended to every Overlander!

Mohsen loves to meet travelers and as the founder of the „Overland in Iran“ Facebook group he is very knowledgeable about overlanding in his beautiful country. Join the group and meet Mohsen! If he is not at his workshop, he is probably taking care of his guests at his „Traveler’s land“ homestay. It’s also marked on iOverlander, only 1,5km away from the workshop and a perfect place to meet others :-) Call him if his workshop is closed: 09155851517 his English is very good!

Friendly help. Mohsen saw us riding on the street and invited us to his workshop for chai tea. He is very helpful and likes talking about travel, bicycles, motor bikes and can help you with any information you need about Iran.

We spent a very good moment with Mohsen. He helped us to change money with a very fair rate, tried to find some spare parts for our Citroën Jumper... unfortunately without success but did everything he could do. Nowadays, it's seems to be impossible to have a sim card for foreigners, we tried by ourself then with Mohsen but no way to succeed...
If you are near by, just go to visit him, he will receive you with open arms.

If you're around Bojnurd go have a cup of tea with Mohsen, the guy can give you useful tips about Iran. As recently many travelers come to his workshop not only for some tea but also to organise a local SIM card , changing money , fixing their vehicle ,finding a nice camping spot or a hotel (though you can stay at his home as well and explore the city and around with his guidance ) , so he charges some money for his time and services which I found it very fair.

When heading towards Mashhad (for picking up the Visa) / Turkmenistan I was passing by Bajnour. As it was on my way, I dropped by at Mohsen, who has contacted me more than half a year ago when I was still preparing my trip. Since then he helped me via PM or posts in his FB group to get things sorted out here in Iran.
Actually I just wanted to stay in Bajnour just for one night, but thanks to his friends I got some works done on my Honda Africa Twin and stayed two: mounting my GPS system, my handle bar raisers, my bottle holder as well as some maintenance works like brake adjustments, blowing out my water cooler as well as cleaning some oil pipes next to other things.
As it was a super hot day I bought some drinks for the guys of the workshop. As we had a lot of fun we also took a lot of pics.
After three hours and two to three people constantly working on the bike they refused to accept any money. None of them. Including Mohsen.
(For the sake of completeness - I went to a cake shop and bought a big box of local cakes for all the guys)
Having said all this, judge for yourself what kind of guys Mohsen and his friends are and what high prices in Iran say about the person who asked for the works...

Hi Mohsen, how I said you in the personally Mail, I'm very happy, that now your visitors paid adequate prices. If you don't exaggregate again, you will have a lot of fun with the travellers. Wish you all the best. Fred from Fred in discovery

When you pass through Bojnourd, you pass by Mohsen’s place. He is a super nice guy and he loves meeting and talking to travellers. His Facebook group Overland in Iran (not to be confused with Overland to Iran) had been very useful to us and we enjoyed meeting him in person. Also, if you do need to have anything fixed or arranged in Bojnourd, he will go out of his way to help you find the right person for the job. He took us to a 4wd mechanic and also to Reza who could fix some rust on the body of the car nicely. His own workshop is for hydraulic jacks, not for vehicles. He just genuinely enjoys meeting and helping travellers, without any self-interest. So if his group was useful to you, go and stop for a tea or coffee. And don’t forget to take a picture with him so he can post you in the FB group. You can contact him on FB, CS, WS or on 0915 585 1517.

We thoroughly enjoyed meeting Mohsen and having a great time with him over tea last year in June. With an electric car, we didn't have anything to fix (it's basically maintenance free), so we didn't see the workshop itself. But Mohsen was helpful both with insights and his original thoughts as well as with practical help getting USD converted to IRR.
