Description

You can get a fresh water car wash here after your time in the Salar. We paid 100B for our XP camper. Price is based on vehicle size, so you can bargain with them. Be careful, some car washes in town use salt water!

DO NOT GO HERE. Awful disgusting "car wash" that is ripping off foreigners because they are in iOverlander. They tried to charge me $150 Bolivians for A Terrible car wash plus diesel spray. They lied and said all the other car washes in town use salt water, which is not true. This is an example of a business who is getting business off of iOverlander and ripping people off. Plus the car wash is filthy. There are much better options as you head out of town toward San cristobal. I paid $70 bolivians at a different carwash for complete wash plus diesel spray

This place is no longer operating. But, there is a Lavado around the corner from there.

They got the job done. 40B per motorcycle, I didn't haggle. We did most of the work to make sure they didn't spray where they shouldn't. Young guy was nice and efficient, older guy with mouth full of coca leaves demanded a tip when they were done. All he did was supervise. No tip paid. Water was fresh, no salt and was worth the price getting the salt off the bikes.

This place also sprays cars with an oil/diesel mix before driving onto the Salar. Cost 100B.
