We booked a cottage and it was by far not worth the money. Staff is ok, food is average.
Its pretty tough to find a good lodge in this area, so maybe its still the best option, i cannot tell, but it is for sure highly overpriced if compared to lodges near bwindi, kibale or lake mutanda.
As campsite it might be sufficient.

Very nice lodge with campsite. We enjoyed the privacy and also the luxury to use the restaurant and lounge. Staff very helpful and friendly. We did a game drive to QENP from there and enjoyed 4 nights. US$ 10 pppn. Possible the best camp in this area. Can recommend at all.

I can understand the mixed reviews for this campsite as it is not the most exciting in Uganda. It lacks a view, which is a shame, but in return you do feel as though you are right in the bush, which is fun. The birds are incredible and elephants and hippos often pass through, although sadly we didn’t see any (lots of evidence of them though). But I can only say positive things about this campsite. It was well organised, very welcoming and the showers and toilets were some of the best we came across. I thought it was quite good value for money considering you don’t have to pay park fees to stay here. Would recommend.

Best Lodge offering camping with proper abolutions. Call and speak to Philip owner to get a possible discount. Asked for $15 but gave discount for 3 nights. 5 course meal 75000k, beer 10k so be self sufficient. View over salt lake crater with some wiffs of smell. Short drive down to lake George, around 10 am can buy fresh fish. Also has a wild camp called Jaques Camp across the lake. Heard hippo, leopard, hyiena at night. waterhog, mongoose during the day. Hot clean showers. Really enjoyed it here

We just had a look, to stay here for one night.
We had more expectations about this campsite.
There is no internet, warm water for the shower but only in a bucket.
After seeing this place, we left.

We don‘t know why everyone is so excited about this camp. Without food it’s 10$pppn camping. The place for camping doesn’t look really nice, some garbage and rubble around. Two of the four showers are broken, cold showers, but they will provide a hot bucket for you. The facilities are very clean. Perhaps the 10$pppn are reasonable due to the location close to QENP. But the main problem is, at around half past six in the evening they turned on the generator located directly at the campsite. The generator runs until 10 or 10:30 in the night. So we didn’t hear any animals neither saw something besides warthogs. And the atmosphere at the bonfire was done due to the generator. But the staff was very friendly!

All as described. Great place to camp, we ended up staying longer than planned.
Ground very flat for camping. Excellent location for QENP and staff very helpful. I’m not sure if the ablution block is still under construction- it is in use but looks a little ‘rough around the edges’. Perfectly clean and functional, just doesn’t quite look finished (e.g. ladies toilet door not quite fitting the frame!). Only cold showers, but they told us hot would be available if ordered in advance, we just never bothered.
We negotiated US$20pppn for camping in our rooftent, including a three course dinner and breakfast. Food is good.

Very nice level camping spot with shelter against rain and schade against sun. Super friendly staff! Wanted 10$ pppn but we negociated them to 7$. Showers are still under construction but we got a key from a room to use the very clean bathroom. Toilets are on the place and also clean. One watertap is near the reception. In the night they make a fire against the animals (we saw and hear elephants, a hippo, hyenas and lions). They also offer safari tours: half day 70$ per car, full day 140$ excl. park entry 40$ pp. The place is inside the park but outside the gates, so you don't have to pay any entrance fees to get here. Highly recommended.

Friendly staff.
A safari cottage is 50 USD but I got it for 45, incl. full board.
Camping possible as said but remember lions sometimes roam in the camp at night 😁 There’s a guard on duty though.

Very friendly staff! The showers are still under construction but we could shower in very lovely clean lodge. Every time we came back from a gave drive they welcomed us. At night they make a fire as a protection against the animals. We paid 15 dollar per night for 1 tent and 2 persons.
