There are loads of pull outs off the road around the peninsula that you could camp. Not private as there are holiday houses across the road, but in low season mid week all the houses were empty and only a few cars passed in the evening. Beautiful, quiet and right on the water. Such a cool town with lots of seaside restaurants, carnival rides and a good swimming beach - perfect for kids / dogs. Nice detour off Ruta 5 for a night or two.

Definitely not a good place to stay unless you have a camper van, a lot of houses and people around. If you drive further to the beach and pass the established campgrounds you will find plenty of wild camp options right on the sand and directly on the beach, which will be quieter and secluded.
