We arrive very late following ioverlander coordinates. We were a bit worried because it seems in the middle of nowhere (in a way it is) but the place is very accessible. Many cars go to that spot by day to take pictures and walk to the salinas. At night it was empty so we had the entire site for us. We had the most amazing stargazer experience! Sadly we missed the sunset but the sunrise was also great!

Report Check-In

A nice place to stay overnight. Caution if you want to drive on the salt, heavy vehicles get stuck easily.

Muy buen lugar, atardeceres increíbles, se puede entrar a las salinas, hermoso

Report Check-In

Good location to stay overnight. Beautyful at sunset. Quiet in the night.

Report Check-In

We didn't sleep here but it would have been a good idea. The fence is down and it's possible to drive on the Salinas. There is just a little water but we drive around without a 4wd. beautiful place.

Report Check-In

You are still able to drive in. After the fency is space for 3 to 4 big rigs.

Do no drive on the salt lake. A lot of cars went stuck there.

Report Check-In

Still possible to park overnight, but its a fence now, you are not anymore allowed to drive on the salar.

Report Check-In

Several spots at the Salinas Grandes to park and stay over night. Some cars on the salinas during the day, but we have seen four vehicles which got stuck. Apart from some trafic noise, very quiet during the night. We have been told that during summer, this salina is covered by water.
