Beautiful baobab but sadly fencing around it looks a little run down. Fences have fallen over etc. Decide not to camp here though it was nice to see the heritage. We continued on as it didn’t give us the full pan view we had hoped for and approximately 15km further a spot on iO has been identified which you can get to using maps-me. The road went past a spring / waterhole which had lots of horses and cattle and the suddenly over the hill there is a road heading down into the pan where we picked a spot along the edge.

Lovely spot. Super impressed that MapsMe could track us right to this spot including all the other tracks around. Lovely breeze all night.

Still good. Fence still alright. No reception. 1 lone car passed at 7 pm in the distance

Such a nice tree. And a nice spot to sleep. The fence runs down a bit and we tried to fix it a little.

Great view,! Fence is against elephants, it is allowed to go into the fence! However cars and campfires must stay outside. No people around hole afternoon and night.

Awesome to see inscriptions by explorers / traders / travellers in the 1800’s!!! Please don’t graffiti the tree though - we saw someone had recently written on top of the oldest inscription written by Green in 1885 (these old ones are a bit faded and harder to see). Would be a shame if these were lost!

Cool spot! With many elephants passing by in the evening and night we were not too unhappy with the fence :)

Report Check-In

baobab is really big but fenced around which make it much less "wild"

We camped there without any trouble. The place is beautiful. Many traces of elephant but no visit during the night.

we saw nobody this afternoon and to night. Nice place and very quiet.

Report Check-In

We camped here. Perfect place. Just cows and a big elephant as visitors.
