Lovely hostel and campground in Baños. The owner Fabrizio was super friendly and speaks perfect English. Camping looked really nice, but they give a 30% discount to bikers so I opted for a private room ($15 is standard/11.50 with biker discount). Had its own bathroom, the WiFi is good, and the kitchen was clean and well equipped. I’d definitely recommend this spot!

This place is perfect. The only problem is wanting to leave. We spent 3 weeks here with our kombi. The yard and its view of the Tungurahua are beautiful, the kitchen and showers are great. it’s really close to trails and downtown Baños, so you can easily explore from here. Fabrício the owner is not only the best host we had so far, but a genuinely amazing guy. He will treat you as a good friend and you can count on him for everything. The same can be said about his family and staff. We really can’t express how grateful we were for staying here.

Cyclers: stop searching. This is the perfect place in Banos. Fabrizio, the owner, is super friendly. Kitchen, WiFi (super slow though), WC, hot shower, nice garden, moderate traffic noise, we washed our clothes manually, 10min from downtown walking, super nice views over the mountains and volcano. We camped under roof with plastic protection and matrasses available for that purpose.
5$/p/night.

absolutely the place to be in Baños!
really friendly owner, warm showers, great kitchen and good vibe!
we were here with 6 motorcycles and had a great bbq. Few minutes away from town. I paid 5 usd for camping.

Report Check-In

We went past this place but the entrance is very narrow and there were 2 motorbikes parked in the only space for vans so we went to Camping Cedro instead

Report Check-In

Super nice place. Spent 3 nights here. The owner Ferdinando is very helpful with everything you need. He speaks English too.
5$p.p. to stay in the tent including kitchen access, coal and wood for BBQ, hot showers and so on. Out of the noisy center but close enough to everything. True treasure.

Report Check-In

nice place as described. Friendly owner. Shower is randomly hot. 5$pp.

Report Check-In

O camping parece ser muito bonito e nossos amigos que ficaram gostaram. No entanto, a entrada é muito inclinada e de barro. Se você tem uma kombi (assim como nós), pode não ser o melhor lugar. Não entramos, porque não conseguiríamos sair.

The campsite seems to be very beautiful and our friends who stayed liked it. However, the entrance is steep and clayey. If you have an kombi (like us) it might not be the best place. We didn't go in because we couldn't get out.

Report Check-In

Very nice place ! Fabricio is very kind ☺️ 5 mn from city center. Nice view on mountains and volcano. Only space for 2 campervans. You have access to kitchen, bathroom, hot shower and WiFi. The garden is very nice too 😉

Report Check-In

Cozy place by the river just far enough from Baños. Very clean 5pp fast wifi. Barly made it un the steep and curvy driveway with our chvy express 2wd. I don't think big rigs would make it. For the others it's a must!!

Report Check-In

The driveway is pretty narrow and steep, not possible to turn around, so you need to back out. Definitely only space for 1 medium vehicle. Owners are really friendly and the shower is super hot, but kind of awkward with smoked-glass doors that you can see inside and face the common areas. The noise from the road is quite loud starting around 6am. Short walk to town, which is nice. $5pp still.

Report Check-In

Really cool place to stay just outside of the center of Banos.
The owner is super friendly.
Option to camp or rent rooms.

Acces to kitchen, showers, internet.

Report Check-In

we have a ford transit extended. the entrance was too narrow and steep so didn't attempt going in

Report Check-In

We stayed here for 3 nights to enjoy different activities in Baños. Great facilities, everything clean, showers very hot!

Fabricio was a great host, offered us many small local sweets to try. He arranged a canyoning tour for us as well as rental bikes. We needed to do laundry, he managed to arrange for us to it get it done in only 3hrs at the local lavanderia before they closed. I’d say he’s very well connected in town for basically everything you need ;) His son is also super sweet, you can practice English with him.

Report Check-In

Best place ever. I spent 15 days here and I had a hard time leaving. 5 USD per person. Hot shower, use of kitchen, fast WiFi, great location 5 mins outside the town center and beautiful view of the volcano Tungurahua. Fabricio is a great host, very kind and helpful. Parking space is not huge, I'd say 2 flat spots. Lots of room for motorcycles. Best location in Baños.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

Definitely the best place in Baños. Super close to the main road but still super quiet during the night. Narrow gate but our gmc savana of 2,50 wide fitted exactly. Owner is simple amazing, nothing bad to say about this place. Showers are great, and ask the owner for a bike rental. He can provide the best price for you. Price pppn is 5 $ now. Very reasonable because there is a kitchen to use as well.

Report Check-In

We tried to get in but it was to narrow and not enough space.

Report Check-In

Amazing hostel right outside the center of banos. Hot water, a full kitchen, parking, rooms, places for tents, a bunch of bathrooms. We stayed for a whole week for $5 a night pp. The host is one of the most generous and friendly people we have met. This hostel is definitely worth stopping by when in banos :)

great place to stay . Now it's 4 dollars per person for one night to camp . Near the center and El Salado Thermal Waters

Report Check-In

Awesome camping & hostel. Still $3.50pp with kitchen, WiFi and hot showers. We fit two cars with rooftop tents on the driveway. Fabricio the owner is a legend. He drove me around town to find a place to patch up my RTT cover. There seems to always be people passing through this place so it's lively. Perfect volcano view too.

Report Check-In

Great place to stay we ended up staying for 2x nights! Really close to the centre of town easy enough to walk. Owner is awesome he has a little herb garden and communal veggies plus even gave us coffee and breakfast. Pretty good shower (electric) but our WiFi was a bit slow. Really nice view of the mountains and volcanos in the background. $3.50 pp for camping in our van, would reccomend!

The best camping and hostel in Baños, the Tungurahua volcano is in the backyard!

Very cosy little hostel with use of kitchen and good view of Tungurahua if you’re lucky with the weather. You can also wash clothes by hand. Owner is super friendly but it’s SMALL especially if you have a really bike van or motorcycle.

Report Check-In

It was an ok place. Very narrow driveway. Showers not hot. Wifi was decent . Owner super nice.

Report Check-In

We went here and arrived late afternoon. Great place to stay in Banos, cheap and small. Great view of Vulcano on clear days. We rented a bike down in town and cycled the Ruta de la Cascadas down and up. Lot of backpackers there whom stayed several days, in return for cleaning/painting. Very friendly owner.

Report Check-In

Es un lugar muy cómodo y aseado. el wifi funciona bien, los baños están limpios y la cocina bien equipada. una linda vista del volcán.

Report Check-In

Great place to stay in Baños. Good kitchen that is close to parking area and very friendly owner. Wifi was very functional. Easy 10min walk to main square.

Parking area is a little tight but we fit with our Sprinter. Room for two cars, but would require some shuffling if first wants out. No height restriction.

Still very economical at $3.50pp.

Report Check-In

Hermoso lugar! excelente la atención y súper cerca del centro... nos enamoramos del lugar y bien seguro!!!

Report Check-In

legit, as below, room for a few bikes and 3 vehicles. Electric head warm shower, never got hot for me. Fabricio, legit, offers to drive you into town (I had laundry). 10 minute walk to town center.

Report Check-In

Good place for a few nights - open communal kitchen, hot showers, laundry service ($1 per kilo), hammocks, a cute puppy and kitten, agua potable, and intermittent wifi. It's now $3.50pp per night. There's an incredible view of the volcano and across the valley from the grassy backyard, perfect to sit with some beers or BBQ in the firepit. The owner Fabricio was super nice and welcoming - even though we backed into the fence... the driveway is a little tight and there's only really room for 2 vehicles / vans in semi level area. We're in an American van - anything wider or longer might have trouble. No height restriction though. Space to park motos regardless of how many vehicles are there. Pets aren't allowed, but maybe double check as someone had a cat with them when we were here. Oh and there's a covered area for tents in case it rains. We definitely recommend staying here !!

Report Check-In

Checked in with our car with rooftent. 2 olaces available for cars inside the property, big rigs can stay outside on a small parking lot opposite to the property. Very helpfull owner Fabricio, real Nice atmosphere !

Good Place for camping with all Infrastructure overlanders need. Only 1 parkinglot for camper / small RV / Jeep!

Report Check-In

We paid 0,50 for a really hot shower with good pressure. We were very welcoming and the owner was so nice and invited us with a tea! The price to stay is 3 ppn with all the facilities. Very recomended!

Report Check-In

Ended up here by chance. There were no hostels / hotels that had vacancies for 1 person National holiday.
I could sleep in the car or he would arrange a tent.
Before the end of the evening I had one of the 5 rooms due to a no show. Actually his fathers room, but hewas out ot town. $8 while in town high season was at least twice that, if they had had a room.

Others overlanders turned up. We had to do a car hussle to get everyone in a good possition. The top of the drive is nearly horizontal, just long enough for a largeish camper plus a VW van. The rest if the drive is steep. Long enough for cars with good handbrakes.
Beware if you have a long overhang in front of your front wheels and/or behind your rear ones. You could have a problem getting from the street onto the drive, because of the steepness.

I didn't get the price for sleeping in your camper, but I think it was $3, the same as for sleeping in a tent. Tentspace is on a patch of grass and also under a roof on concreet.

Direct view of the vulcano on the campsite. See photo.

It is on a busy road, but that it quiet later in the evening, Didn't keep me awake or wake me in the morningl

Report Check-In

Stayed here with my tent. It's not in the town centre but you could probably walk from one end of town to the other in 15mins. Friendly owner and it's also quiet.

Report Check-In

Nice and cheap! $3pppn. Includes secure camping, hot water showers, kitchen & fridge, place to hand wash and dry clothes. Lovely view of Volcano & mountains.

Fabricio the owner is very nice & will make sure you're comfortable, he speaks English too. 10min walk into town.
