This is now a private, paved road with a guard before the power station. He would not allow us to pass or park nearby. There is a restaurant with a kind owner at the intersection of this road and the Panamerican where we could park overnight instead of heading off into the sandy roads at sunset to find something else, BUT it was super noisy. Wish we would have had more daylight to explore the wild camps further south
Report Check-InVery friendly guards who offered electricity, showed me the nearby restaurant and let me use their( not special) toilette. Bought them some coke.
Report Check-InNot many options between Zorritos (border) and Trujillo, and didn't back ourselves to make the drive in a day. We were gonna stay in town but after driving through are glad we didn't -it's a diver! (with mossies apparanlty tooo.) anyway this place has a super friendly guard, really strong wind to keep us cool and felt safe all night. No Mossies. The trucks were a little loud int he am but can't complain as the price was free.
Report Check-InGreat spot, friendly guards! There’s even a little tarp roof to hang out under and a port-a-potty. You hear the power lines buzzing, which is a little unsettling, but overall a good we experience!
