Wild camping next to water stream overlooking the snowy peak of cerro Tomaguaya. Ocassionally vicunas roaming around. Beautiful spot around 50m from the dirt road. Found that it's at a good distance for a nights stay if you are doing the circuit from Putre to Isluga and then to iquique. Temperature fell to +2 in early morning at the end of May but maybe I was lucky as it can get well into the negatives. A bit exposed to wind.
Edit : do not hesitate to go a little further from the road : nice flat spots

Very good spot, all the more if you go a little further from the road (following a little the bank of the river). The ground is very easy to drive on. Very quiet (you can go far enough to avoid the sound of trucks), beautiful views on the moutains and river. Lamas around. A bit windy. We really liked our night here.
Report Check-InGreat place for the night. We werea little further, only with lamas. Cool!
