Description

Kasa Kiwi is Quetzaltenango's newest hostel!
Classic hostel in the historic center with 5 private rooms (two with private bathrooms) and 3 dorm rooms (one with bathroom) and No Bunk Beds!
We are super central (2 blocks from Parque Central), super safe, super friendly, and super clean (bathrooms cleaned 2x per day).
We have a lovely patio surrounded by plants and flowers and a roof terrace with 360 degree views of the city and surrounding mountains.
The WiFi is super fast; we have plenty of power sockets in each room; the kitchen is fully equipped and has its own terrace with tables and chairs.
We offer free filtered water; free bicycles; free computers; free luggage storage; free hugs and an internal smoking area.
We also operate as a travel agency and can book all manner of tours, hikes, shuttles and even internal Guatemalan flights.
We can advise on volunteering; studying spanish; taking salsa lessons; and all the sights Quetzaltenango (Xela) has to offer.
Kasa Kiwi is owner-operated so for anything you need please ask and we'll do our very best to help.
A Kiwi (Mark), a Gringo (Bryan), and a Guatemalan (Valeria) walked into a bar... and then we bought a hostel!

This hostel changed ownership in 2020 and they do not provide services to Overlanders anymore. They only serve customers who sleep in their rooms. We asked the price and it was Q50 per person.

they have a court yard that fit our Ford E350 with roofbox. it was a tight squeeze and only possible either after 6:30 pm or before 8am when no cars are parked in front of the gate. 25Q for the night per vehicle and u can use the facilities (kitchen, hot showers, toilet, WIFI). nice rooftop bar and central location to explore the city. not sure how regularly they let vans park in there but easiest just msg them on facebook beforehand.
