Not really a ghost town. Just really shanty. But nothing around for miles. Good stop point for sunset and in between Trona and Death Valley. Burros roam the plain freely. (Most of the fire rings on the way in are removed). This area is dusty and irritable…Take a shower if you can.

Managed to get two flat tires here. Fortunately their little general store had a tire patch kit. A super friendly and very helpful couple helped me get back on the road. Disaster averted!

$5 to camp in the ‘jailhouse’ - an old wooden shack with 2 rooms, a table and bench. Nothing special but fun and a useful place to get out of the wind and rain if the weather is bad. Some soft drinks and beer are sold across the road if needed.

Report Check-In

There us a huge open area close to the old town with a hand painted sign that there is a fee of $ 5 per night. Not sure, if this is real or a joke.
We continued a nit further down Indian Ranch Rd and found a good site. Further down the road where a couple of more campers.
It was pretty windy.
