Description

Rest area with pit toilets, fire pits & picnic tables. About 500 meters from the road, right by the river. Nice private spots, almost like a campsite. Sign says you are not allowed to stay for more than 8 hours and no tents. Perfect spot for the night! With a curious porcupine :)

Stopped here to use the toilet, but I wishedI had driven a few more miles last night instead. Stayed at Good Hope Lake, a bit North of here, which was ok, but this place is a different level. Nice!

it's even marked in the Milepost Book for "informal camping but not well suited for big rigs" so an overnight parking is allowed.

very nice place, clean, we stayed for a rest, 8 h limited, quite, no road noises, nice views, for big rugs, just a few places

Crazy amount of Mosquitoes! It's a nice spot other than that. Privacy is a 3/10, but traffic was low. Toilet was clean.

Great campsite at the confluence of Cottonwood River and Bass Creek. Easy access on a paved road 0,8 km from the Highway. Quiet, you hear only the roaring Cottonwood River. Great river and mountain view.

Perfect 8 hr layover :). Quiet, and right by the river, not too many mosquitos, super clean pit toilet 👍

Really cool place where the river is covering any other noises.
Could be a good fishing place also.
No need to worry about anybody timing your stay.
You are in the middle of nowhere.
Enjoy.
