Bolivia
The gate to the lake was closed so we asked the woman at Ecolodge Tuni (right across the way) where we could camp and she pointed us here. The road to get here is a great, flat dirt road that passes through the altiplano. No 4x4 needed and I'm 99% sure that even big rigs can make it! (Note: We did not camp here but went further down to the right toward the "pesca deportiva" and wild-camped there (also pinned in iOverlander). Really tranquil and beautiful out here. There is also a one-day hike you can do from Laguna Tuni to Laguna Chiarkhota but we didn't have time. Supposed to be beautiful, though - ask around!
We don't have any photos of this place yet.

Trucks can make the road and have plenty of space to park there. Unfortunately no view of the mountains.
