Description

Amazing place to stop for lunch or sleep over

. Meals are HUGE!! S/10 for lunch completo with soup and drink. Had the duck. (Last time we had duck it was S/22) So tasty and was well cooked. Nicest people in Peru. Dare you to find nicer! Stop here - would highly recommend supporting this Mum & Pop business.
Ps - they have a Hospedaje as well and lots of land so suitable for big rigs. I'm sure they would let you camp as well...

Very large, open space, toilets available all night. We pulled up around 6 and she made us dinner and breakfast the morning after. Basic but tasty, for a very fair price. She is the nicest lady, loves meeting travellers. Recommended to make a stop here!

We stopped here for a coffee. The restaurant was closed, because she was going to visit her children in the city. But she opened it special for us, because she likes to have company. The coffee was great and she even gave us some baked bananas and potatoes. She also filled our thermal bottle with coffee. In the end she only asked 5Soles for all of it. Of course we gave her more, because she asked way too less. So if you are in the neighborhood and the restaurant seemed closed. Just check if she is around, because she welcomed us like friends.

Enjoy! RobJansenphotography

We stayed a night and a day here with Verónica and her family, she welcomed us like friends.. A really open and energetic woman! It was really hard to leave, we felt very good at her place, super reccomend it for the ones going to MP as a stop for sleeping or to have a amazing big, delicious meal on the road! Love!

Veronica and her family are really nice. We spend 2 nights here, the night before and after Machu Picchu. Her food is some but very good and very cheap. She'll let you use the bathrooms, sleep on the parking for free and use the water tap.
It's definitely the best place to spend a night if you don't want to drive all the way from Cusco to MP, also because it's not as high

We stopped here for a night on our way to Machu Picchu.
You can use toilets and water tap.
Very quiet night, without a lot of traffic.
The next day, we helped her to cook for lunch, and we learnt many things about Peruvian food.
The kids, her husband and her are very friendly and welcoming.

We’re so full!! Stopped here on the way back from Machu Picchu. We weren’t disappointed. Two dishes: soup and a main with a red corn drink. Like everyone has said, portions are huge! 7 sol each, can’t recommend it more

The best meal of the past two weeks. Soup was average but main course was really good and so big. Came with brewed drink also(similar to Kombucha but sweeter)

She also has bread, desserts and local exotic fruits.

Very nice person

Confirm that Leonorilda is an amazing woman and chef. She serves kombucha which is quiet rare in this area, at least I hadn't seen any around here before. the hospedaje is ready and cheap. If you are in the area and need to stop somewhere, that's definetely the place.

the soup is to die for, it's well worth stopping for. they also have 'yogur de te' which consists of erm.......no idea, but it's delicious, called te and it's home brewed alcohol. Tastes a bit like cider and apparently cures an array of ailments.

We are so happy we stopped here! Veronica and her family is the most welcoming of people, we were going to get up at five, but still stayed up late into the evening, talking and having a good time. They served us great sandwiches and coffee in the morning. Food is cheap and good and they allowed us to park for free.

They have a drink there called te de yogurt, which turned out to be lovely kambuche! They might have changed the name now, after we talked about it.

Passed by there again after Machu Picchu to get some more kambuche, we then got a lovely pumpkin porridge (and the recipe to go)!

We can not recommend a visit to these lovely people enough!

We spent 2 nights there with Leo, Javier and their son Malito. They started their activity few time ago, restaurant is open and hospedaje in construction. Very nice family with a lot of projects. Leonorilda is a good chef and makes huge lunch. She doesn't cook dinners. OK for all size of vehicles.
