Definately worth staying. A lot of people just come to visit Lake Ana during the day. But it is at night the magic happens. Brown bears. At dusk it is best to go to the lake. When everybody leaves, the bears come out. Be careful when walking back, we got cut off by a mama bear with cubs. At night they wandering around too, you will hear the dogs reacting to them and if they come to close the rangers will shoot (in the air). In the morning you might see them around the campsite. The big field across the street used to be open for (free) camping, but due to too much dirt left behind this is now closed - hopefully it will open again in the future. The campsite itself has 1 cold shower, toilets, firewoord and a 2m high electric fence :-) 50ron per night. In season there is a little grill restaurant.

Awesome place!
For a camper & 2 adults = 100 RON.
Really hot showers :)
The ranger served fire wood :)
It’s a nice place and the showers are hot now (they heat up the water with fire so after 7 pm shower is hot). But the whole bear thing is gone. You’re not allowed to go to the lake around sunset en they’ve killed 7 bears because they came to close to human. We didn’t see any bear. It the lake is nice and the camping also.
Report Check-InLovely camp to stay. 30 Lei for motorcycle and tent. They provide 5L drinking water. We did not see any bears or anybody shooting anything. Quiet and peaceful at night. Good night's sleep. Beautiful view from the mountain at the place nearby.
Report Check-InVery beautiful lake and a camping spot. Friendly personnel.
A bear indeed made a lot of noise, just before midnight.
Will definitely return if ever happen to travel nearby.
