Very quiet town to spend several days, around there are restaurants, good walks and nearby there is a hostel that offers hot showers for 5 sun. Very friendly people. Good alternative if you don't want to be in Puno with so many people. Chocuito is 20 minutes from Puno.

Pueblo muy tranquilo para pasar varios días, alrededor hay restaurantes, buenas caminatas y cerca hay un hostal que ofrece duchas con agua caliente a 5 sol. Gente muy amable. Buena alternativa sino quieres estar en Puno con tanta gente. Chocuito esta a 20 minutos de Puno.

Plaza de chicuito, lugar muy tranquilo para pasar la noche ,esta la policía, la municipalidad. Seguro, pasamos 2 noches . Tiene baño pagado al lado del cementerio ,hay tiendas para comprar víveres y además es muy lindo

Stayed 1 night. Okay spot, NOT flat, the square is very unlevelled. We tried multiple spots and found the most straight one. See pic of the white Hilux. Then managed with levellers. Very quiet night, nobody around. Little bit signal

Slept 4 nights here, people are so nice, police too, the curch is so beautiful. Trucha is delicious in any restaurant. You can have a great hot shower for 4 soles in “Hospedaje umajalsu”. You can also go to “glorieta mirador” to have a beautiful view over the Titicaca. Safe and quiet nights (cold in june-july). This town is only 20-30mins from Puno so it is a great option

slept here for one night. huge plaza with space for all kind of rigs (only access may be limiting) but only limited flat space. police asked us to sleep at the upper left corner. traditional band played in the late evening, but we had no problem

Very good place to spend a night. Quiet and friendly people. A little bit tricky if you have a motorhome longer than 7 meter to come to the plaza, but possible.

Slept on Plaza close the police station. very quiet night. We even got invited for few beers by locals.
No toilets but a small shop let us use theirs until they closed.

Excelente lugar para pasar el día o la noche. tranquilo y seguro, en la plaza se encuentra la estación de policía. Nosotros estuvimos dos noches antes de salir hacia bolivia.
Detrás de la estación de policía hay un restaurante a 5 soles el menú, delicioso

very dafe place due to the police station but for us not the quiet.
banda until 23.30 and then a policemen arrived with his tunning car and made some "ruptures" with his car just next to our motorhome 😒

We stayed here next to the police station for one night. The police was friendly and told us the same - anywhere on the plaza is fine but not directly in front of the station.
Only thing was that there was some kind of celebration and traditional bands were playing music randomly throughout the night - around 10pm, 3AM, 4AM, 5AM. May happen if you visit in mid October.

Une nuit tranquille et sans problème face à une immense église . Pas un bruit ici ! Prendre la rue Jiron trucos si vous avez un camion , c'est la «plus large» ...
Ok avec camping car de 7,50 mètres. ;)

Quiet, flat if you park on lower end of plaza and police is totally ok if you sleep here (though we recommend checking in with them so they’re aware you’re there and to be polite :)

An interesting plaza with some good archaeology about. Alas, the tank bag was stolen from our bike here, Peruvian police are very nice but ultimately unhelpful.

the police asked us to park not directly in front of their office. but that anywhere else in the plaza is fine. so we stayed parallel to the church day and overnight. keys to the church: you can ask for in a house behind the church on the left side (behind a sport field) facing the church from the plaza. visit the church inside is worth it (free). several baños around the plaza. 3g movistar internet reception- no wifi. entrance fee to tempel inca uyo is 5 sol pp.
