Just letting you know a local said someone was killed at the railway over rivalling drug gangs this summer. Not sure if this is the best spot

Nice view on the ocean.
We were there on a Tuesday night and a Banda practiced from 9:00pm to 11:30 pm 😁 despite this, very quiet night !
Police patrol all night long.

Actually in the Costa Traviesa there is no internet anymore.
El escudo 3,3 dl costs 2'200 Pesos.
Very nice place, protected from the wind with view to the sea.

This is the wrong place, must be at the sea. In Esmeralda street are many parking options along the waterfront. We parked in front of the restaurant Costa Traviesa. It's really expensive (2 beers from the tap were 11 US dollars); password: costa2traviesa.
2.5 km towards Paposo are several beaches. At all but one is camping prohibited. The one which is ok had tables, BBQ and according to the tourist information bathrooms and showers. We didn't like it and wanna visit the small but really nice Taltal anyway.

million dollars view right on the water front. we spent 3 nights here. no break ins and it was fairly quiet. all the citizens agreed this town is safe. good restaurants all around, the crash of the waves, the cries of the seagulls- good stuff
