Walmart | Informal Campsite

There are 'no camping/no overnight parking signs' everywhere in this parking lot. That said, there were about a dozen people camped out here in various cars and semi trucks. We arrived very late after being kicked out of Wells Park by a cop, and while we weren't bothered you'd probably be better off finding somewhere else to stay.

Stayed here last night and woke up to a knock at 10:58pm. But when I got to the front of my camper a few seconds later no one was around and I didn’t see them knocking on other campers to make them leave. So I decided to risk it and stay as there were 8+ other campers here. I am not sure what the knock was about but they didn’t even hang out to say anything.

There were tons of RVs and people staying overnight. Unfortunately, there were even those who were making themselves a little too at home. Please, guys don’t ruin things for the rest of us. Don’t takes your chairs out or leave your trailer so you can do whatever.

The staff was friendly, the bathrooms clean, and they offered lots of items for the traveler like single serving yogurt & A huge selection of granola bars. We stocked up before heading on our way.

Typical walmart. Rvs, campervans, and several car/suv campers along with me. Some road noise but quiets down close to midnight. Felt safer than the gas station for some reason.

Lots and lots of other RV’s here. Was a quiet night. Had tmobile and visible service. Great clearance selection at the walmart inside

way in the back behind Wal Mart and Sam's club. There are no camping signs, but there are at least 2 dozen campers/van lifers here, not including big rigs.
Standard freeway noise.

They said technically it isn't allowed because they've had some rowdy folks there in the past, but if you are quiet and clean you can stay one night. Was told not to be surprised if I get a knock telling me again only one night, but no one ever did.

08-14-2022 0648 hrs As a follow up to my previous post:. There is a sign that was blocked by another RV that says there is "no overnight parking". we stayed all night with none bothering us however. Just an FYI.

Very large parking lot and relatively quiet at night. No knocks and no hassles, a few other RVs here as well

A standard Walmart parking lot. They say that they are open until 11 but it’s cool to park overnight. There was a semi, another van, and some motorcyclists with pop ups all in the back. No one bothered us and it was actually super quiet for being near the highway. Recommend this for one night. Also their bathrooms are super nice for a Walmart.

Do yourself a favor and park at the Walmart 15 minutes away from this one on CY Ave. It’s much quieter with little traffic and a beautiful landscape!

Stayed here, back lot quite full with RVs and cars. Had no issues and left early in the morning.

Getting ready to spend the night here, arrived late. Asked permission. They said no problem but cops may stop by and ask us to move because of city ordinance

Found this location to be a bit noisy. Many locals revving their pickup trucks and driving through the parking lot.
There are a few restaurants in the area as well.

We did not end up staying here.

Nice store. Pretty quiet at night. Good central location with a Sams Club and a Perkins restaurant next door and a Starbucks Coffee across the road.
