Near the entrance to the Delta State Recreation Campground is a town brush dump. Enter there and work your way to the river bank. 2wd if you find the right way.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Not sure it actually an open area but never saw anyone or had any issues. Small four wheel drive Rv Ok.
Report Check-InGreat mountain views. Some ATV and car traffic with folks checking out the river. Evidence of a couple of makeshift shooting ranges, but no one did target practice when we were there. I imagine it might be busier on the weekends. Easy enough to get in with our 24 foot class A. There is one steeper hill you have to drive over to get in, so some longer rigs might have trouble with clearance.
Report Check-InBit tricky to find the way. You need to come in at the Fairbanks end and work your way to the other end/corner. It's easy 2wd all the way with outstanding views when you get there. See uploaded pic.
Report Check-InYou can hear a little noise from the highway. No to little mosquitoes. A lot of space to explore and camp. Great view of the mountains.
Report Check-InNot as lush as some other spots on my trip but it will do. First time using iOverlander and I’m impressed. Gaia is lacking I’m good maps in Alaska.
Report Check-InLOTS of space at (and in) the Delta River (at low water). AT&T connection. Open view. Partially for 4x4.
Report Check-InOpposite the entrance to the Delta State Recreation Campground is a town brush dump. Enter there and work your way to the river bank. Multiple routes 4WD required, but easy. We managed well in our truck camper.
