Great place to stay for the night! We came late March and it was not windy. As soon as you approach the lake there is lots of space to camp by the water. If you keep going across the narrow bridge/dam there’s space on the other side as well. We stayed on the far side. It was peaceful all night. A few cars drove by early in the evening but after that I didn’t hear anything all night. A few fishermen were there around 7 am.

Report Check-In

Cattle pen campground, free use. No shade and very windy so the RTT was pretty loud. We just used it as a quick stop on our long drive. Only had one van join us later at night.

Report Check-In

A few different pulloffs to park. The road is fine for any vehicle and cell service is better up on the road by the dam instead of the lower campsites.

Put toilets & dumpsters at the ends of the lake, no shade outside of a stand-alone tree to the east side of the lake.

Good area for dogs, just watch for the loose cattle.

3bars of LTE for AT&T
3bars of 5G for T-Mobile hotspot

Report Check-In

This spot is a great area to camp if you have plans to withstand the wind and the sun! You are right next to a lake and there are bathrooms.

I had no problems getting here both times, driving around the lake, etc. in my Honda Fit so any car should be good! I wouldn’t even think about having a fire with the wind… solid 1-2 bars of Verizon LTE as well.

Great spot! A few locals drove past me, craning their necks, but otherwise I wasn’t bothered for a quiet night. Beautiful sunrise, some cows nearby. I slept on the southern side but north looked fine too. That narrow dam road isn’t worth worrying about.

Report Check-In

Gate was open when I pulled up. Camping is only allowed at the north or south ends of the lake. No fire pits. Pit toilets. One other camper was at the south end of the lake. 22 mph winds when I pulled up they’re supposed to break over night though so here’s hoping. Not a bad spot for a one night stay while passing through. This was a last minute camp spot for me since the ones I had planned on in the mountains were closed or too muddy and steep. Two bars and LTE of Verizon not too shabby so far.

We stayed here for a quick night while traveling...nice and quiet campus no right near the lake, restrooms but no other amenities, did have service with T-Mobile

Report Check-In

Good spot for a overnight a few miles off i25 and had a pretty sunrise. Didn’t have any trouble with a gate as previously mentioned. The flood lights from the nearby prison are visible at night but still could see lots of stars.

Report Check-In

The gate to the lake area was locked upon arrival.

Beautiful spot. Be sure to turn left before reaching the water if you have an RV or trailer. Otherwise you’ll be driving on a narrow dam to the far side of the lake. You’ll reach a lot at the end of the road with a dumpster. Turn left, over the cow into the camping area with picnic tables.grates

Super endroit tranquille, beau coucher de soleil sur le bord du lac. Toilette sèche. Il n’y a pas d’eau.

Report Check-In

camping at South side or North sides of the lake only. i chose the South because a party got to the North side to go fishing before I arrived this morning. the North side is actually preferable because the spot is right next to the lake. there is a vault toilet directly across from the North camping area. on the South side, there is a boat ramp and parking area with no camping allowed there. just past the boat ramp/parking lot is the fenced in camping location. there are 3 cement picnic tables and a vault toilet located within the fenced camping area. there are garbage dumpsters at both North and South locations. lots of fish in the lake. beware, snakes may be present.

Report Check-In

Dispersed camping on shore of small lake. Cement tables, no fire rings, pit toilet (bring your own TP.

No shade and nothing to block the wind. A perfect place for star watching since there's no light pollution.

Stayed over night and my only neighbors were some cows on the other side of the fence.

Free camping.
