Description

You can camp in the parking lot of this nice hostel/hotel for $5pp, which just happens to be run by the best people ever. Pablo will be the greatest host you'll have encountered!! There is an outdoor BBQ and indoor kitchen, outdoor and indoor shower, bano, very fast wifi, hand laundry, fire pit, chill out lounge area, and also rooms with private bath for $10pp. Safe and quiet and close to supermarket, restaurants and veggie stores. Chevere!! Pablo can arrange tours: tubing, rafting, jungle hikes etc. He's very knowledgeable about vehicles too so can help you out in a pinch. Warning, Pablo and Marcia are so nice, you may never leave!!

It's only Marcia now, but she still loves having overlanders and she's a joy to talk to. $5pp per night, with use of the hostel facilities.

The price is now 5pp without hot water and 6pp with. In our opinion a little expensive for staying at a parking lot, so we left. The other hostel camping spot - Lemoncocha (also on iOverlander) - is just as nice for 2,5pp.

Better then the place next to it (Limoncocha). You park on lawn, facilities good, shower not very spacious, owner very nice. USD 5 pppn.

If you do not need to stay in Tena, better stay in Misahuallí.

Friendly staff and correct accommodations. Maybe a little bit expensive since you are in the middle of the city?they let us connect to electricity and do some hand wash. We did kayak with Pablo and was a fun experience. Totally recommend that activity. Btw don't miss Laguna azul one hour driving NW from Tena. And they pollazo, a very taste bbq chicken.

Una gran acogida por parte de Pablo y su esposa. Contamos con su ayuda de forma decisiva para resolver un cambio de neumáticos. Y, sin duda, para cualquier cosa que se precise.
Es genial encontrar lugares así en nuestros viajes.

As everyone else has said this is a great place to stay in Tena! Close to restaurants, grocery stores etc. Pablo and Marcia are great folks and make you feel like family! They are also working at there Finca near Puerto Mishuilla on a Amazon Turtle rescue/ reserve to help boost the turtles numbers. There will be camping there also for Overlanders , it is pretty remote so if you camp there bring what you need! Pablo knows a lot of people around the area, so if you need something repaired or info just ask. Big Rigs and dogs no problem!

We stayed here for 4 nights. It was a holiday and Pablo put together a bbq which was delicious as well as cocktails, we’re not drinkers but those that imbibed enjoyed them. The next day he took us floating and fishing on a local river. He helped us find a local kayak guide and book an Amazonas tour. Super helpful and friendly guy, if you have any questions about local stuff (from mechanics to rivers) he knows someone and will make sure you don’t get ripped off. Really good guy that takes a deep interest in his guests, I spent several hours talking with him.

Great place to relax a few days, in fact we stayed 4 and 1 night at Pablo's Finca in the jungle. Pablo and family are incredibly friendly people and they helped us really well when we wanted see a doctor. Pablo knows his 4x4s and will assist you with work on your car or bike (changed my brake pads here) There are a lot of tools including welding equipment. Thanks again guys! When in Tena ( nice little town ) be sure to camp at Zumac Sisa!

Pablo and Marcia are really really nice and helpful owners. They let us park under their roof so that the rain didn’t hit us too hard, let us use all the facilities and even helped us organizing a trip to the wildlife rescue center and to the local Kallari Chocolate manufacture (see other overlander spots in Tena)!
