Iquique sea and town | Informal Campsite

We spent 3 nights here over the weekend. The lounge is fairly loud and plays music is until ~2am. But, the area felt very safe and we had no issues leaving our camper during the day. There are homeless around, but all very respectful and friendly and help the locals find parking spots as this area does get busy on weekends. Easy walk to main beach, Jumbo grocery, and restaurants. Not too bad for a city, and more importantly felt safe. The beachfront/boardwalk itls quite nice to walk along.

We were a little hesitant at first because of all the warnings on different overnight spots in Iquique. This place is in a fancy neighborhood and the local homeless/poorer people keep a look out in a friendly manner. Make sure to give them a little tip. The music from the local (sushi)bar wasn't too loud. Beaches and parks nearby are nice!

Nice and safe place. Spent one night there, there were other RVs too. A bit of music as long as the bar next to the spot is open but very quiet around midnight

Estacionamento Beira-mar em frente ao restaurante Otaku. Muito seguro, a rua é sem saída e passa polícia com frequência.
Ponto negativo é apenas a música que as vezes está muito alta, pelo menos termina 2a.m.
Motorhomes grandes podem ficar ao final da rua, onde também é mais silencioso.

Beachfront parking in front of otaku restaurant. Very safe, the street is without a way out and police often pass.
Negative point is just the music that is sometimes too loud, at least ends 2a.m.
Large motorhomes can be at the end of the street, where it is also quieter.

Nice place. Stayed a few days as there is no other cool spot near. Drive to the end and put the car with bed/head direction to the cliff so it’s a bit more private. Even weekend wasnt to loud. People are nice and friendly. No harm at all.

Best place to overnight in town. Calm, safe, beautiful landscape. Very very good.

Nice location! Although it’s kind of dirty (apparently like the rest of the town) and on a Tuesday night some cars hanging around with kids. Not loud though.
Police came to check on us, showed ID. We could camp here for the night, they said it was reasonably safe if everything was locked down. They didn’t send us somewhere else.

Nice place for sunset with benches. Many locals seem to come there to sit. it's a few blocks from many local restaurants
