Uganda
Nice campsite overlooking the river. We understood it was the only affordable one (for our budget) on this side of the river. It was 15,000Ugx and apparently the Delta campsite was 40USD per person per night. Basic toilets and small shelter. Wood provided.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
At the entrance they said that we have to pay the camping fee at the campsite. When we arrived nobody was there so we paid nothing, nobody cared. No facilities but if you need nothing it's perfectly fine
Report Check-InWe didn't like the place because of the noise of the road works. You have a nice view but it looks run down. So we didn't spend the night there. Price for camping is still 20.000 Ugx
Report Check-InNot a nice site but view is nice. It was quiet when we stayed. No water. Ablutions are completely down. So if you see be self sufficient.
Report Check-InGreat view of the Victoria Nile. As others have said, it’s affordable accommodation but aside from location, we didn’t get wood, a toilet or a shower. Luckily we are fairly self-sufficient but something to at least be aware of… It’s wild camping. The park try to get you to take a guard to stay with overnight - we didn’t take one as we prefer quiet and privacy. If you do stay and have come from the southern region thinking there are no animals, there are wild animals! We had leopard within 1km of the campsite and hyaena in the campsite (hippo around too, of course).
The campsite is really close to the bridge (where the ferry used to be), we went there a couple of times to watch the sun rise over the water and watch the birds.
Roadworks are still ongoing based on the road but we didn’t hear anything or see any trucks in the vicinity.
Report Check-InVery dirty site. Would be good location but road works directly below are dusty and noisy. Unfortunately not many alternatives
Report Check-InCampsite on the river- the view is lovely. There was firewood at the site when we arrived, however if you need, better to ask at Paraa where you pay before getting to the camp in case we just got lucky.
Facilities as stated previously. The only thing to note is that they are currently constructing a bridge/main road through the park that we could hear during the day which takes away from the atmosphere.
Report Check-InMurchison Falls NP is a great place to visit. few cars, lots of animals! Community campsites close to the bridge overlooking Nile river. only toilet awailabe we did not want to use. no water, electricity. good for self-contained only.

20 000Ushpp. no ranger. water in a tank. nice view from the terrasse overlooking the Nile. wildlife around (elefants)
Report Check-InNow UGX20000 per person (any age). We thought the location was excellent. Great views over the Nile. As usual, poor ablutions but there was some non potable water in a tank available. No showers, just a bare clean tiled room. Pit Latrine. Make sure you pay at Paraa office beforehand.
Report Check-InCamped here as this is the only public camp site in the northern part of the park. It is also the area where you can find wildlife with 3 major tracks that are on the left side of the campsite. From the campsite you drive 7 km up and turn left at the junction. From there on out it is game viewing time.
The campsite itself is anything but fancy with dirty toilets and no running water when we were there, but it has a nice view over the Nile.

Report Check-InVery basic, when I was there no water, but nice view. Big enough to find individual spots. The other alternativ UWA Public Campsite is on the southern side of the river. On top of the Falls shortly before the parking lot for the Falls visitors. Very nice view onto the Rapids of the Nile, beautiful view of the Nile and the Falls at sunrise. Also very basic with pit toilets, but there was water available when I was there.
