great spot! Tuesday mid-March still 3 fhu sites available. I'm van camping and don't need hook ups, but if I did this is the kind of place I love. Haven't tried the showers, so no comment there. Beautiful, quiet and close to what you need. Ten day max stay.

Report Check-In

Very peaceful - but only the handful of spaces. Fortunately, a Tuesday in early March meant half were still available even at 6:00 PM.

wonderful park, great spaces for RV with electric, $15/ night, self pay. open 24 hrs. good Verizon coverage.

gorgeous sunset! lots of birds, ducks, and fish jumping. could hear the dog and cow across the pond in the evening, no biggie. all alone when i went to sleep, woke up and there was a 5th wheel..didn't even notice 'em come in. place was busy in the evening with fishing boats and dog walkers and folks watching the sunset. didnt use the restrooms/shower due to previous comments.

Report Check-In

Just like others reported. Busy with locals pulling boats because the campsites are close to the boat ramp. Tent parking lot adjacent to a small field for setting up tents. Self registration/payment right next to campsites but it is weird the showers/restrooms are far away. I did not try the showers. But you can’t beat the price.

Great little park up in the RV slots with a view of the lake. Nice and quiet. Water and dump at the top of the loop.

This definitely is a hidden gem! For 15 bucks you get a quiet, level spot with electric hook-ups. As of May 9, 2023 showers are open 24/7! The park is as described! The dump station is opposite of the bathrooms if you drive the loop around!

Very surprised how quiet and clean this park is for it being close to a town! Definitely recommend a stay!

Stopped in for a late night pullover on a road trip. quiet, and safe. trash bins, picnic tables and open grass areas for dogs.

Elk City Lake Park
Lovely, quiet park with many amenities. 8 RV pads with electric. There is shared water access in a ground box located between adjoining sites. Other reviewers said there's dry camping but we didn't see it used and don't know where that is. There were only two other sites used while we were staying.
Heated shower house 1/4 mile from RV area, free hot showers open until 5pm on weekdays and 24 hrs on weekends (according to sign on door 11-22-2022.) There are several playgrounds and at least two boat ramps. The numerous picnic shelters have tables and grills, but the campsites have neither. we were camped in view of the bandshell venue. There's a disc golf course and many hiking/biking/horseback riding trails at a couple of places within the park. Traffic seems respectful so riding or walking the road within the park would be pleasant. The dump station is free according to other re iewers but we never saw it or signs directing to it.
Verizon and AT&T both had signals and we streamed video. SPEEDTEST RESULTS
VERIZON: 152 ping, 19.8 down, 4.82 up.
AT&T: 40 ping 30.2 down, 21.6 up.

Nice place to stop. We were here for lunch and they have some good picnic tables with shade. Not many camp sites but they look nice. Very quiet but not far off I-40. They have some hiking and bicycle trails and the dogs enjoyed the lake. Bathrooms were nice and clean.

Report Check-In

Really confused on the difference with the RV camping and tent camping. nice spot and $15 is a great price either way.

Report Check-In

Nice spot on a small scenic lake. The water spigots are below ground marked with small blue flags that say “water line.” The water line hole at site 4 was flooded with water when we arrived. We called City Hall (who manages the park and campground), and they immediately sent Bill from maintenance to come fix the water. Bill had the water up and running in no time. Would definitely stay again. Can’t beat $15 for water and electricity

Report Check-In

As described previously a nice quiet hidden gem on the shore of the lake. $15/night and even though it is a holiday weekend we were the 3rd camper here leaving spaces between campers. We are marking this for future I-40 travels to the West. The water spigot is behind the campsites in the ground…

Report Check-In

What a great place to sit it down. What a lovely park! Water is near site 5 and yes, it’s in the ground.

Report Check-In

Peaceful and beautiful. Would stay again !

This is an amazing hidden gem. 5 rv back into spots, covered picnic tables and suposededly there is a lake 🤷🏻‍♂️ it was pea soup pulling in here and a little weird. You come in through a nice neighborhood to wns up on this beautiful local park. The showers are super hot and are FREE! Costs $15 to park and so worth it. Electric if you need it. Not a bit of road noise, ahhhhh going to sleep well tonight.

IT IS NOT FREE!!!! 15$ per night for the RV spots. Really pretty tho.

Report Check-In

Great stop close to I-40. Plenty of birds to see, a small trail to walk, and lake water levels are good. Good place to walk the dogs. It is NOT FREE, there is a $15 per night fee and honor box.

Report Check-In

NOT FREE anymore. It's $15 per night. But there is free access to hot showers in the bathrooms and a dump station (dump only, no water tap) without using the RV overnight spots.

Report Check-In

$15 a night plainly mArked and towing a enforced

Report Check-In

We hoped to stay here on a Wednesday in April but it was full. Looked like a decent place and there were plenty of parking spots to comfortably dry camp but we decided to go an hour down the road instead.

Report Check-In

Very nice place to stay! Many sites, some with power hook ups. Picnic tables, dump site, bathrooms, showers, city water spigot. Disc golf course, walking/biking trail, fishing. Quiet and safe, would recommend! Right off of I-40.

Report Check-In

Very nice and quiet place direct at the Lake. 5 RV Sites with electricity available. Including fireplaces, kids playground and Volleyball field! There is one building with pittoilets (scary, there was a big snake swimmimg around in the dirt water of the mens toilet!) and another building with normal toilets and cold showers. Couldn't belive that it's for free! Tent Camping is also possible.

We stayed there and made a video on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HYiEFk1_zDM&t=01s
The place is awesome and peaceful. There is a water spigot behind the closest rv spot near the picnic area. Its flush with the grass so, it a little hidden.
