Beautiful nice spots clean. Not recommended for a big rig but for tent camping car camping and small RVs it’s the perfect spot. There is only two of us here. It’s nice and quiet right off the highway. We did encounter a coyote but was able to scare it off.

Rolled in here after hiking Missouri Mountain. Flat areas for our van. This is not FREE. You must have a Colorado fishing or hunting license or Wildlife pass.

Nice clean/free campground with 2 vaulted toilet/outhouses. The Colorado trail’s runs through the campground with many other interesting trails nearby as well. Technically every one 16+ is supposed to have a hunting or fishing license but there’s no one here to enforce it. Had a great spot right on the creek. There’s no well water or spigots, but I ended up using the creek water (including drinking). Very clean and safe to drink at the end of may with the water temp right around 38 degrees.

great campground with bathrooms. Lots of campsites with fire rings.

Amazing free campground next to creek. Some shaded campsites. Beautiful stellar jays with deep blue color. Scenic. Put toilets had no toilet paper. No trash cans. Pack it in, pack it out.

Report Check-In

Per Colorado Parks & Wildlife’s website, this campground is only open to people who hold a colorado hunting or fishing license. didn’t realize this until I was already set up for the night. No one came around to check when I was there for one night but camp at your own risk!

Really busy cg close to beautiful lake. Great for fishing, SUP, and kayaking. Too busy an area for us but there are other places near the lake to camp in the forest.

Report Check-In

Beautiful lake, great for fishing and SUP! Packed with every type of set-up. Only 2 pit toilets for a large amount of people. Not for us. We moved on.

Lovely free camp. Plenty of room even though it is popular. Very clear creek water and vault toilet. Trees for shade.

Report Check-In

Great free designated camping area by the reservoir, lots of open space and some more private areas hidden by trees. Individual sites are not really defined, people just choose a spot. At least 30 vehicles here at the moment and room for more without being on top of one another. Only one pit toilet although is surprisingly clean for amount of people here!

Nice free spot along the creek. Pit toilets and fire pits. Kind of a free for all on a Friday at 4:00, but quiet (so far) and have privacy.
