street is still under construction. we had to wait on and off.

Report Check-In

Road is NOT closed, just under construction. Looks like this will be the new main highway as the work is top class. Just add an extra couple of hours onto your travel plans. This will likely control for another year.

Report Check-In

Road is open but still a lot of constructions going on. Sometimes you wait 30 min at one place.

Report Check-In

The road is still under construction. On Saturday morning, it took us 2 hours from La Pinada to this point.

Report Check-In

Horrible! We were driving at night from Valley de Cocora to Medellin on purpose to avoid the traffic. Between Manizales and Medellin the whole road is under construction. It can take hours and hours to get between these two cities. I would suggest taking a different road instead. When we were driving from Medellin to Manizales, we made a turn in La Pintada and drove throw Aguadas and Pacaro. It´s a mountain road, but totally OK for regular cars.

Report Check-In

Road is open but needs time! Took us 2 hours from Peaje to Peaje (53km).

Report Check-In

google took us this way heading south and it wasn’t that bad but i think at the wrong time it could be terrible. going north there were long lines of cars. seems like they still have work until the end of 2018.

Report Check-In

It‘s open now. Lot of constructions. Took us 4 hours from Medellin to this point.

Report Check-In

Still closed.
You need to detour between Tres Puertas and La Felisa at the minimum. This 45 km section took us about 3hrs to detour through (going north) Arauca, Anserma, Riosucio and then down to La Felisa. If you are going for time and north bound turn off the panamericana South of Pereira and head north on the 25 through La Virginia and Asia then to Anserma. There is also an option to the east but they are working on their roads in this area too. Beautiful Coffee Country though

Report Check-In

Now road is closed. Need to take road through Neira or Risaralda.

Report Check-In

Between Manizales and the El Palo junction (turn-off to Rio Sucio) on the route 29 there are extensive road works that will be in place until at least mid-2018, probably longer. Many contra-flows each with a long delay. Many big trucks & buses. Recommend taking the route 25 instead if you can. The works may go further north than this we turned off the to Rio Sucio & Jardin.
