BE AWARE! This spot is super sweet and peaceful but we got stuck in the mud on our way out (4x4 F350 + truckcamper) we spent the night here and loved it but even with the tiniest amout of rain the road turn into a mega mudbath…. And it’s sticky as hell.
Took us a lot of digging and gravel from the beach to get out.

I would 100% recommend this spot when it’s dry!

Am parked @ the end of the circle by the lake. Another van & 1 car are here. I can see I-40 bridge in the distance. Very peaceful. Drive in was on dirt. No rain so good drive.

This place is beautiful. Haven’t had any issues. There’s a big pavement lot to park or you can make your way down the peninsula and park closer to the water! Very windy but the best views! A few cars have come down here then leave right after. Very quiet and secluded. My dogs love it. Pack in and pack out. There’s a bit of trash the further you go out but not too bad.

I am here now, leaving in the morning to conclude a three night's stay.
it seems open to me. I couldn't locate a camping restriction ordinance online. Deputies patrolled daily and once around 10 pm. Never contacted. they rolled slowly by and left. Others here included tent campers with children, not close by, and a local couple searching for their lost dog which disappeared off leash while they were camped down the road. There are no posted signs of any sort. I originally stopped at the visitor center and the young park ranger said there is no free camping at or near the lake. A minute later he said well technically there is one
place that has free camping. He then described in careful detail how I could get here from there. And that's how I was directed to this spot. And I see it's been reported closed. It's been great for me, I like it.

Epic! Gorgeous vista, quiet, decent cell service, and noone around.

Great place to stay and very quiet. Stayed at the marketpoint and just in the path left side because there was less wind.

Lake that is overflowing. Did not camp on road as to much traffic. Went down loop and camped in flat spot right off loop. Bugs are here as you would guess with water. Still trash everywhere. No issues except two big dogs showed up at camp and would not leave. They live down the road. Spent one night. No issues of real note.

Rained a lot last night so soft ground. Didn’t go down to lake front just parked on pavement. Lots of trash. The loop with sites would be great if not for wet ground and trash. Careful with tall rigs, there are a lot of low branches closing in on that loop. Overall fine for overnight.

Excellent place to quickly stay the night. Very beautiful. Watch out for one of the local landowner's dogs on the dirt road as he likes to chase cars

We came at night and parked near this GPS point. Pretty flat and lots of room. There is a loop road right near this point with old camp ground spots with tables. However the road is old pavement, the camp spots had some soft ground so I would be cautious if it's wet. Would be better for tent camping there. There is trash stuck along the road but otherwise nice. distant hum of the highway and nice being right on the lake.

Good place, a bit noisy with the road and many trash...We had a visit of an agent'sherif at the beginning of the night. Just chek-up and ok for us to stay, but we are no sure for the next time.

Pretty good spot for Oklahoma, but lots of trash...

This is one of the most epic places we have camped in Oklahoma. We literally camped right on the lake shore beside the water. There is a big parking lot and turn around spot for motorhomes and there is also a boat ramp. The road is a little narrow coming in and you will have to drive down a smooth dirt road.
