Hostel, dorms, and cabanas on a hill overlooking the beach. Quiet, safe, and relaxing. Ideal for overlanders, kitesurfers, and digital nomads.
$12 in dorms with homemade breakfast. $20 for a private. $5 camping or sleeping in vehicle.
Good wifi connection, especially for rural Ecuador. Hot showers, good kitchen, and beautiful chill out area upstairs with hammocks and couches.
Dinner and drinks can be ordered for extra. Laundry service available. Newly constructed work/yoga cabanita as well.
Great owners and the place has a nice vibe. Big big rigs won't fit. Sleep and wake to the sound of the Pacific.

Report Check-InThey offered me to put the tent in sand near the volleyball field. No shade at all. And all the valuables i should store in the house for safety because they don't have a fence. They couldn't find a change from 20$ and wanted me to split the banknote in the town. I decided to find a nicer place instead.
Report Check-InThey wanted $27 for a small not that nice room so we camped for $5 pp/night. The area to camp is a dusty car park with absolutely no shade, but the view is nice (we saw lots of whales), the shower is great, the common areas are spacious. Bathroom/shower could be cleaner. Breakfast at the Donkey Den in town was really good.
Report Check-InNow called Punta La Barca, they offer camping or sleeping with van $5 per person, $6 with breakfast. Incredible view of whole beach; close to swimming, kitesurfing. Good wifi, common areas designed for working and blogging. Nice breeze and hammocks, kitchen, showers get quite hot.
Report Check-InInga and Juan have a lovely place. It’s up on the promontory (not really a cliff) as you can walk down to the beach for swimming. Relaxed atmosphere. WiFi was variable during our stay, showers are hot. Full kitchen with oven for use of guests. Beautiful view over Santa Marianita.
