Description

We found it really hard to find a refill place, but this little shop made it. We have european gas bottles (5kg) and an adapter to fit the american system. The man from the shop created an additional adapter to finally refill our bottles. Very friendly and helpful man, we paid 150 pesos.

Super expensive.

Not worth going here unless you like to be ripped off. Insane price of 250 Pesos per Kg, about 3-4 times the regular price.

The next day we filled our bottle for 350 at Hector Mari instead of 1500 he asked for.

Very nice old owner and his wife. He filled our us bottle (8l) within two hours... was quite pricy, but did not find an other shop willing to do so! And he told me it’s kind of illegal to do so as a private person! ;)

And he was very kean. Poor in English, but we were able to communicate, even with my poor Spanish!

Also for fishing equipment he seems to be a good adress...

Nice guy but wasn’t able to fill my 12kg US bottle, said he can fill cylinders up to 6kgs max, doesn’t have the pressure to do larger.

Nice guy who refills gas bottles out of his house. No problem with our 13# US bottle. Took him about 1.5hrs to fill, there is a big supermarket nearby to pass the time. On the expensive side ($80arg/kg) but he said it's pure propane and not a propane/butane mix of very high quality. Used for soldering, gold and silver work, etc. which is why it's so expensive. Unfortunately he overfilled our bottle causing the overfill release valve to continuously fill our van with propane as we were driving down the highway. We ended up pulling off and releasing some of the pressure. Beware!

Appeared closed when we called on a Sunday morning but we phoned the cell phone number from the previous post and he came out. However we have a fixed tank and he indicated to us that he only fills portable tanks / cylinders so couldn't fill ours.

We were lucky! The store was open Sunday morning and they managed to fill our 3 kg South African CADAC compatible bottle. Very friendly people. The address is Zapiola 89 (between Constituyentes and Caracas). Cell: 15-6998-1457, Tel: 4740-2491. If the garage is closed it looks like a normal residential house. Just knock on the front door.

Went to try and fill my USA portable propane bottles but was unsuccessful. Owner was very nice but explained on my bottle valve was a small brass hole in the center of the valve that when a fill hose is connectged a small male part pushes into the hole to open the fill valve. He suggested removing the propane hose from the camper that has that piece on it and he could connect to the hose and fill the tank.

The business is run out of a house where the owner sells fishing bait from his front gate. Turn right off of Constiuentes onto Zapiola and it is 1/2 block on the right. Look closely.
