Description

Nice campground 10km from Punta Arenas. Water, power, dump station, wifi. Alexis and Maria Ines are the friendly owners of the camping place, they drove me to Punta Arenas as often as I want and made my laundry. Wifi is good. We paid 30 000 $CH per night for 1 adult and 1 kid. (UPDATE: Price now $15,000 Chilean Pesos per vehicle, or $25 USD. Laundry is 5,000 Chilean Pesos or $8 USD)

Latest Check-Ins

we cannot understand the previous comments: due to these reports we were very happy finally standing in front of this site after a long, long ride we phoned this "nice" pair and they refused using their obviously free camp ground in a very arrogant and unfriendly manner- we strongly advise to avoid this ugly place!!!

Report Check-In

Parking closed. Possibility to park for a night 500m more far. 4x4 needed.

Report Check-In

The place is definitely open, year-round. If the owners are not around when you arrive, you are welcome to drive into the front yard, and hang out until they arrive. (we had parked in the back yard, where you have to drive around to the back gate...more secluded from the road). Owners are at the house at these times:

8am - 10am
1pm - 3pm
8pm onwards

You can also contact Maria Inés to communicate your arrival and ask questions.
1. WhatsApp or Cell Phone Call: +56996495420
2. Email: [email protected]
They speak primarily Spanish, but use Google Translate a lot.

I can not say enough nice things about this family. They are warm and generous and welcomed us into their home immediately. They invited us to join them at the table where we shared English Tea, homemade apple crumb cake, and toast with homemade jam. While we sat and talked (with lots of Google Translate help) our 5 year old plopped down on their couch watching cartoons and getting one slice of toast after another from Maria.

We parked close to the house to get the wifi, which is slow at times, but decent enough. Otherwise, we just hung out on the couch in their house. Lot is level enough for us to detach our camper, and take the truck into town for repairs. Had electricity, and of course usage of their very nice bathroom inside the house. They have adult children now, and are very comfortable with small children about the house. They are social and helpful, and really just lovely people. Wish they were closer to town, but oh well.

Report Check-In

You can camp here and you can also build tent, but there are no facilities.

Report Check-In

It’s more the backyard of a house. On monday you can only shower 7-8 in the morning or 13.00-14.00 or 19.00-20.00...in the weekend times ar more flexible.
Wifi does not work with apple at the campsite, only when you sit next to the house.
Very clean shower and toilet inside the house.

Report Check-In

There is still a sign for the place, but also a sign "For Sale". Nobody was there, so we could not stay there.

Report Check-In

We looked for this place but couldn’t find it. Possibly closed for the season.

Price now 12,000 per vehicle, per night.

Report Check-In

20.000 pesos for 1 person/night. To park quite near the road. The owners seem very nice, but it's way overpriced and I didn't stay.
