Extremely bad rocky bumpy dirt road. In dry season expect to travel no faster than 10-13 kmh. May be impassable in rainy season because of numerous badens.

This is a beautiful road (in dire need of maintenance). We enjoyed the scenery even more going slow. Climbing Tres Cañones was worth it.
Report Check-Inthis road is not that bad. there's a few spots where it's quite bumpy and some (in dry season) shallow river fords but I think 4x4 is nit critical. there are buses and a few trucks. it's an awesome drive so if you have the time go for it!!
in rainy season I would one try with high clearance 4x4 and maybe a snorkle fir the bigger river Ford
we did it in a 4x4 sprinter
Report Check-InGreat drive if you have time. Lots of places to stop, road is a bit rough but as usual in backroads.
Report Check-InThis road is a usual and well maintained back road like everywhere in Peru. Nothing wrong with it! No 4x4 needed. The drive is awesome with great landscapes!
