Very nice place! Price is still 20.000/Person/Night for camping. Dogs were not barking at all but there was some music close by on the weekend. Still don’t regret staying here, it offers everything a camper needs and is really beautiful. Also enjoyed the backpacker‘s atmosphere for a change.

Report Check-In

What should be a very relaxing place is spoiled by the camps own dogs barking all night, nearby gospel music playing very loudly continually again all night long. Food a little expensive but tasty and good quality. Wi-Fi terrible and water pressure seem to have issues. Could be a superstar place but let down by the noise.

Report Check-In

More for backpackers that campers because there is no kitchen facility, but the ablutions are very good with hot water and even hand-towels. The restaurant is pleasant. But it is close to a shebeen and I suffered loud music until 4am.

Report Check-In

Super place for camping, just north of the city center outside most of the noise. The place is beautiful with lots of chill places. People are friendly, especially the manager Chris. Food is great and not expensive. Same goes for the drinks. There also is a yoga area (above restaurant) with a few weights and pull-up bar. I planned to stay 1 night and ended up with 3 nights. Camping is 20.000 UGX per night. Breakfast between 10.000 and 15.000 UGX, depending your choice.

Report Check-In

A really lovely spot to rest for a night. Flat ground, beautiful gardens, stocked bar and in-house restaurant (we regret that we ate before we arrived here— the food looked good!!). Some noise from surrounding areas but not loud- mostly kids playing soccer across the road. Scalding hot showers and a beautiful toilet block. Recommended.

Lovely and peaceful place to stay ! Friendly staff, clean ablutions and good wifi…
Food is good, just takes time to prepare…

Report Check-In

we can really recommend this place. perfect to relax, have very good and fresh food. big garden for camping. we paid 20000 pppn. clean and nice abolutions. good wifi even at campspot. nice staff.

Report Check-In

Amazing place to stay in a beautiful garden. Can be a little noisy at night time, but it’s worth staying here for the oasis that it is. Very nice food in the restaurant at reasonable prices. Would definitely come again!

Report Check-In

Very, very lovely place. Super green and beautiful garden that looks and feels like a lot of love has been put in. They are very flexible and you can camp anywhere. Lots of hangout spots which look beautiful: swings, hammocks, a nice seating area at the river, fireplace and a lovely restaurant with delicious fresh food. The nicest place we have been to so far. Superkind owner and hot showers (and beautiful, taken care of bathroom). There are also huts you can stay in but did not take a look at those. Only point is they have cats and dogs, so that is good to know on forehand.

All as said below. Nice place with great facilities if you need to stop at Fort Portal but the city noise is there. Food is very good and reasonably priced with many vegetarian options (veggie lasagna 20,000 / lentils curry 20,000) . Free wifi is available but only if you ask them to switch on the router.

Report Check-In

Big campground close to the city center. You can hear the city but it's just far away to get a good night. The church will start at 6 in the morning and ends at 7.
It's well decorated with many places to relax in a swing or some seating area. Hot shower available all day from a donkey.
For camping we paid 20.000 pppn, children half and or eight year old was for free.

Report Check-In

Nice backpackers, great staff, lit a fire every night, even had staff come sit with us and play guitar. Good food and price

Report Check-In

Nice place, quiet, clean ablutions and hot shower. Nice staff. 20000S pppn for campsite, beer 5000S. Good food at restaurant.

Report Check-In

Very nice place! Showers are really hot ❤️
Staff are very friendly and helpful!
Food also very well!
Loved the stay here!

Report Check-In

Nice campsite on grass. Just the other, bigger side was not in use now. We camped 2 nights in the side nearer the parking lot. Great hot showers! 20k UGX/pppn. Restaurant serves good food with very reasonable prices. Large Nile beer only 5000UXG. 2 lovely dogs around, too. Very friendly staff. Our first night was on Saturday and there was a large group from Kampala,
they were pretty noisy, but earplugs covered
them. Sunday night was quiet.

Report Check-In

What a great campsite! Lovely green spot with nice birds around.

We had electricity with our extension cable. They charge a little bit extra for this.

Food is good and nice bar as well. You can also organise some activities with them.

At night they make a nice campfire.

Be aware in the weekends locals come to chill, which is nice, but they stretch this until midnight or longer. Can be noisy.

The showers are so nice!

Camping S20.000 pppn, kids half price

Report Check-In

What a wonderful spot! I landed up staying for 4 nights and loved my stay here. The staff are lovely and the food is tasty and affordable. There are areas to chill at and the showers are epic!

Report Check-In

Very nice backpackers. Campsite is spacious with plenty of shaded areas. Hammocks, games and books available to use. Showers are hot and well maintained, toilets clean too. Friendly and helpful staff. Great place to relax! Camping 20,000ug shs per person. Food and drink prices very reasonable too. Lodges available too but not sure on price. Plug sockets available.

*update*
If visiting at the weekend please bear in mind that it can get pretty loud. Our final night was on a Saturday night and there were three different parties at the camp site with locals partying/walking around all near our tent, so not ideal if you have an early start the following day. Then again, this is Africa and other camp sites have been similar on a weekend too.

Six months later I returned and they still had my laundry waiting for me which I forgot. Honesty lasts... but I had to leave after one night as the 5am devil worshiping started again...church in Africa, its a thing...

Report Check-In

What a pleasant surprise in the middle of town. Well maintained, beautiful garden and clean and hot showers, friendly staff that go out of their way to accommodate anything you need. They have used the lockdown to renovate and build so a bigger bar/restaurant and extra cottages. Although in town it is quiet at night until the god maniacs start their 5am shouting sessions. Negotiated to 15k per night for camping. Food was good and plentiful.

Report Check-In

Lovely camping ground in the garden of the backpackers with many birds. We stayed two nights and enjoyed the communal fire pit for one of the nights. As mentioned below good food and reasonably priced and clean showers/ablutions. Very hot shower and Friendly staff! Morning coffee/tea included in the price was a bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here.
The only downside we can comment on (no fault of the backpackers itself) is that at 5/6am on the Monday morning the church started playing very loud music.

Report Check-In

Lovely grassy campsite with lots of space. Very clean hot water showers/ablutions. The staff are fantastic- very friendly and welcoming. Anna and Rosco in the kitchen make very tasty food and all very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend.

Wifi at the dinning / reception area.

Complimentary tea/coffee available in the morning was a great send-off.

Report Check-In

unfortunately it seems they are in a harsh money saving programm.....
WiFi worked not even one hour every morning and they did not alow us to plug in power.
At the price (8USD/pppn) they charge we think it is ridiculous!
The stuff is friendly and it seems that the manager/owner drive this wrong course to campers.
I just was waiting that someone says "shower only for 2 minutes, no longer!"
Exept of this a lovely place and we would stay longer without that behaviour.

Report Check-In

Very nice camp site. Hot showers, clean, beautiful made and done. 8$ per person (!) per night. Good staff.

Report Check-In

Beautiful, peaceful place with an excellent kitchen and very friendly staff. Electricity was available on request.

a very nice camping place. Beautiful garden, nice staff, good kitchen, clean washing facilities, they bring a lantern for the night, lovely little things around this place like flower on the table ect

Report Check-In

One of, if not the, best campsite we’ve stayed in in 3.5 months in Africa. Fabulous campsite in the outskirts of Fort Portal, beautiful huge grassy lawn with lots of flat sections for RTTs. Beautiful clean toilet and shower block with flushing toilets and HOT showers. Hammocks, swings. Amazing kind and friendly staff and absolutely incredible food. Best Rolex so far in Africa by a country mile. Free tea and coffee.
Those have said that at $8 pppn it’s overpriced are crazy in our opinion. You can also walk into town.
Make sure you try the amazing pizzas at Dutchess restaurant in town

Report Check-In

Lovely camp in beautiful garden. $8 pp for camping. They do all the right things. Lanterns at camp, fire and bring you water, hummocks etc. Coffee and tea in the morning was included. Water pressure low in basins but shower water ok and hot.

Report Check-In

To clarify, 30USD is not a cottage but bandas - this is price for 2.

Report Check-In

All as stated below. You can park the car in the garden with flat grassy surface. Power through extension cord. Clean abolution with hot shower. Okay Wifi available at restaurant. They lit a campfire for you every night and place lanterns at your car for some cosy lights. Great place and helpfull and friendly staff. Price still $8 pppn.

Report Check-In

An oasis in Fort Portal! Wonderful campsite with excellent ablutions, hot showers, all very clean. Staff can’t do enough to help. Food is good, WiFi mostly good, power can be provided via an extension lead to your camp if needed, and they did all our laundry for us.
Only downside is that it is still in the town, and of course that comes with unavoidable town noise from outside the camp! Not too bad in the week, but Friday and Saturday night seem to be party night until the early hours, so take earplugs!
Still US$8 pppn.
