Description

Big shady lot with gate that's closed at night. Beach access from hotel. Free, but we purchased a meal. Really great place to stay before heading to islands.

Beautiful place but does not allow tents only campers who are self contained. Also note that if busy not to keen on campers either. She was fully booked when we where there

The price has increased, it is now 300 for 2 people and one car!!

Helen's Restaurant and Villas is a quiet and safe spot to be! Many moskitos in September/October, net very neccessary!
Helen welcomed us very friendlly before and after our stay on Utila. We stayed at the area across the restaurant where the villas are. We could exchange our big water bottle for 30 lmp and she still wants 5$ or 120 lmp per night. Wifi more or less working.
Helen cleans her beach everyday. Swimming is fine. Quite busy at the weekends, good for her! Canadian hotel next door seems dead, also no tours from here available. Two tour operators in Sambo Creek are still going to Cayos Cochinos, just ask Helen.
Food in the restaurant is good and reasonable.

No problem getting our large rig down the road as others warned... (Google Everlanders) Google maps shows a low gate, but there is a large gate across the road that should fit any rig we've seen. Large well kept restaurant and pools. Cold outdoor showers, Supper and Breakfast was fine... The charged more than expected for camping, 200L

Report Check-In

I do not know if the hotel can accept big rigs but we were unable to take the 1km track that leads to the hotel with our RV of 24 feet with a height of 10.10 because of the trees which are way too low. We asked several motorists and all advised against going there. When we comment it would be cool to indicate your type of vehicle and be sure that access is feasible.

Paid 115L per night. Big grassy parking area. Gate closed at night. Bathrooms are near the restaurant, clean. Outdoor showers are ok. Pool near restaurant looked dirty, but the smaller pool (for guests) was clean. Nice area with tables and hammocks to chill. WiFi was ok.

Beautiful quiet grassy place who does not feel like a parking lot. We spend three relaxing days and did a dive trip to Cayo Cochino with Pirate Island Divers. Helen is a lovely señora and keeps this place well maintained.

Report Check-In

Nice place on the beach. Secure parking for bikes, cars and rigs. $34 for a double room with ac and private bathroom. Best place to go diving at Cayos Cochinos with pirate islands divers.

Friendly! Clean! Good shower.

100L a night with great owners in a quiet location. Food is on the expensive side but not the worst I've found in Honduras. Wide and open area to hangout. Good wifi

we came here before we took the ferry to utila because of the other review down below, big mistake. it's a long drive just to stay overnight and go back to la ceiba.
besides that, nice place. pools not included in camping price anymore, it costs extra

We loved this place. We could use water and electricity in parking lot where we parked. Shady area with loads of space. Restrooms next to restaurant and shower next to pool. Beautiful area with pool by the restaurant with swimming pool only for guests (not for restaurant) so it became a great place for us too work. Internet average.
