Amazing beautiful place with a wc and cold shower. Armando is very friendöy and helpfull. Unfortunely we planned to stay for some days but in the next morning Armando come with his wife they were very scare because in the night the guerrillas FARC set up a campground just 200m away so he say we should leave so gar we can and we did it. Probably he will stay close because of the situation

Report Check-In

Hermoso lugar, tiene de todo, baño, lavaplatos mesas. Los dueños muy amables. Muy recomendable

Report Check-In

We contacted the owner. It will be closed for a long time. No idea when would it reopen.

Report Check-In

Big flat grassy area to park and overnight. Quiet, nice people, but they wanted to charge 30.000 COL pp/pn which is way to much for what you get. We finally paid 25.000 COL pp/pn. Basic toilet & shower. Apparently, there is Wifi but the lady did not know the password, so we couldn’t use it.
I think there are better options in the region.

Report Check-In

Great quier place to stay.

Report Check-In

spoke to the owner. they do not offer services at this time. the pandemic ended their business along with several others in Ioverlander in Popayan. plan ahead and call or you will find yourself with no place to stay.

Report Check-In

We could not find this place,we asked a lot of people around but nowbody new about it.

Report Check-In

Good location, very close to the main road. The bathrooms are in bad shape.

Report Check-In

Good place for the night, nice views and beautiful grassy area. Good wifi. All as described before, including the dirty toilet that sure has not been cleaned in weeks.
Very friendly owner. Were able to refill water, always a plus.

Report Check-In

Really nice campsite, huge meadow to camp (grass, so good for tents as well) and cozy common area. Has a fridge, stove, sink (no pots or cuttlery though), power outlets, basic toilet and shower. Very friendly owner who helps with everything. 15.000 person/night.

Report Check-In

Nice peaceful location close to the city. WiFi ok and we had claro 4g too. Took the #7 bus into town. Then after grocery shopping took a taxi back. The bus cost 1800 per person. The taxi cost 12000. We were able to use the washing machine to do laundry.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

Wonderful place. We came for one day, stayed for three, could have stayed longer but needed to move on. Great hosts, and absolute tranquility. Papayan is definitely a city worth visiting: take the bus, rojo, 7. Short trail (sendero) will take you right into beautiful surroundings. 15Kppn

Report Check-In

Very nice view from the campspot. Friendly people, facilities are basic, wifi so so, water pressure low, bbq-ing allowed. They always make sure there is toiletpaper, but it would be nice if they would clean as well. Our friends 3,69m high rig just fitted under the gate, so higher than this is a problem. All in all recommended.

Report Check-In

Nice place to stay. Be aware of the height to come in !!!

Not recomended for Big Rigs over 3.75

Report Check-In

Armando and Maria, will receive you very well. they are very nice and helpfull. we stayed here 6 nights and we rerecomand you this place in the nature. 😊

Report Check-In

. Nice place for a campsite, really quiet.
. Payed 15000Cop/pp/pn
. Really simple but it matched with our requirements.

Report Check-In

it was a bit hard to find because the GPS didn't know how to get in there. Note to self, (and anyone trying to go here) it's behind the giant antenna. But once here, Armando was so super sweet, we wanted him to be our dad.

Report Check-In

Nice views, parking on grass. Grungy rundown facilities. Water pressure is low and the water can be brown in the mornings.

Report Check-In

Good campsite. Facilities are there but so-so. Make sure to bring rubber boots when it is raining a lot. Also, when taking the bus downtown, walk to panamericana and wait for the red 7 at the right side of the road beneath the shelter. Make sure to return before 6 pm as it won't run later.

Report Check-In

Previous posts were right on. A good stop over. Very welcoming of dogs, and there’s plenty of space for them to run around.

Report Check-In

We had a great stay here. All we need. Simple but it works for us. 15pppn, loundry still 10k and colectivo to the city 1600pp.

Report Check-In

We have stayed here on 3 different occasions with mixed results. Normally the toilets are pretty grubby and the plumbing wasn’t working last time, but today everything is working and they’ve updated the kitchenj to include some basic pots and pans and a little oven.

Noise is normally not so bad, just some neighbourhood dogs, but last night they hosted a wedding in the main house and the level of the music was insane! It shook our tent all night which is pretty normal for Colombian standards but it would have been nice to have been told in advance so we could have gone somewhere else. Normally pretty chill place, but if you see them setting up for something big, run (don’t walk) to somewhere quieter!

As everyone else said, lovely hosts and great location.

Report Check-In

Lovely park in which to camp, fabulous bird sounds in the morning

Report Check-In

Maria & Armando welcomed us warmly and showed us where we could park and get power. This place is very large; could accommodate lots of rigs/tents. Tigo cell good; others said Claro spotty. Wifi only in common area and craps out at times. Bus can be caught at intersection with PanAm, costs 1600COP pp. We paid 15k pp per night, no discount for multiple nights. Laundry 10k per load, they wash in machine. Nice place to take a few days off from the road.

Report Check-In

Lovely campsite, C$15000, nice owner, very friendly and welcoming

Report Check-In

great place to stay. bathrooms, shower, propane, water and sink, fridge...it is very comfortable. the owner are extremely nice, friendly and helpful.
From here, it is easy to catch a bus and visit Popayan

Report Check-In

Nice place but the water can be an issue. Onwers are great but they seam to switch off the water on a regular bases for some reason that we could not figure out ,so you need to constantly ask.Location wise is great with the centre of Popayan only a 5$ taxi ride away.

Report Check-In

lovely location and friendly people, but serious problems with the plumbing facilities. no water from the shower. they sent us all to use the one in the house, which was a trickle of almost warm water. They charge 10K for a washing machine load, but it is not plumbed-in. they have to hand-fill it with hose for each wash/rinse cycle. they didn't put enough water in for the rinse, so we got back clothes covered in dried soap. it's a shame they mess-up these details, otherwise it could be a great place.

Report Check-In

Lovely lovely place to stay! Quiet, all the things overlanders need: hot showers, wifi, a covered chill out/cooking area, running water, sink for dishes, laundry, flat parking, high clearance, lots of space. 15000pppn. People have complained in previous posts about cleanliness and wifi; both were great for us. And the hosts are just darling. Enjoy your stay!

Report Check-In

Nice place to stay, relax and enjoy the mountainview. It's 12 km away from Popayan but there are colectivos you could take to go into town. Paid 15k p.P.

Report Check-In

one of the nicest campgrounds in colombia. great view, everything we needed and very nice owner. quiet at night. 30 cop for the 2 of us. worth it.

Report Check-In

15000pp. Kitchen, warm shower, NO drinkingwater. Nice views.

Report Check-In

I had a very nice stay here. they had me park my moto under a covered area where I was also able to put up my tent and hammock. Then they came over with a drink and some bread on a silver plater (LOL ok I think it was aluminum). Then breakfast the next morning was brought to me. IIRC I paid $20mil cop. highly recommend!

Report Check-In

How everyone told, it is a nice place! But if you are there if its rain you should know that the water is bright to dark brown, because they are getting their water from a lake and if it's rains it brings a lot of dirt. It looks like they use no filter.

Report Check-In

15000 per person, shower was still very hot and no pressure, but it has big space under the roof, so since it was raining we had our motorcycles, all the stuff and tents dry under that roof. Fridge, stove and sink all available for using and the owner also has a BBQ grill ready for using. Just bring your own coal.
Wifi works fine (when it works), but doesn't reach the campground.
Everything was clean and tidy - we were welcomed with hot coffee (since we were very cold after riding in the rain) and owner offered us coffee in the morning as well. Supermarket and a chicken restaurant is within walkable distance. Overall a very nice place to stay with a great view!

Report Check-In

Armando & Maria are one of the friendlist and helpful people we find on our travel. Enjoy it!

Report Check-In

Armando is doing everything to make you feel home. lovely man and very convenient spot. kitchen , warm shower, huge grassy field
WiFi. Great to relax for a couple of days.

Report Check-In

Maria, the owner, is a very nice and helpful person. The place itself offers a good view and is quiet&safe. You can use the washing machine for 10000$.
Concerning the WIFI: when we were there (3 nights) it never worked fine. In addition it was not reaching the campground. Maria said this is only a temporal problem.
The offered shower is very hot (you can't change water temperature) but at the same time it has no pressure. The bathroom was not cleaned once during the time we were here. Also the trash was not put out in this time. To sum up: place is great. But there is a leak of maintenance.

Report Check-In

Very friendly and welcoming owners. They even took us to the propane place.
Beautiful view!
As mentioned before the trail on their property is very nice to do.
Shower was warm in a tiny space.
Relaxing place to be with lots of bird songs.

Report Check-In

Decent place for a night or so. Big, flat grassy area, perfect camper-friendly covered lounge and dining space, with a calming vibe. Shame it isn't better maintained - with that much mold growing in the communal fridge it makes you ask questions about when the other facilities were ever cleaned... They have a large dog, but clearly the last thing it ever chased away was its Jenny Craig consultant - certainly not a dog to be afraid of! Internet doesn't reach the camping area, and was sporadic at best at the house. Password: [passwords are not allowed unless explicitly permitted by the owner]. 15,000pppn, which seemed fair and reasonable for what was provided. Happy we stayed.

Report Check-In

Beautiful, peacefull, nice landscape, Maria+Armando very kind.
We loved.
Panamericanissimo

Report Check-In

Super tranquil stay with very friendly owners! 15k per person and includes fast wifi (not near the camping area), electricity, and bathroom/shower. Not many places to stay in Popayan so this was a very convenient stop (only 20 min from Popayan).

Report Check-In

Decent place to stay for one night. Bathrooms were a bit dirty. Nice view and friendly owners!

Report Check-In

The owners Maria and Armando seem to rest a bit on their laurels as evidenced by the lack of maintenance:
The toilet by the common area did not flush, the two showers in the corner of the main house lacked shower heads, the drain under the dishwashing sink fell off (only pressed on).
Internet did not work; when we mentioned a discount because of it, and other overlanders said they'd leave earlier than planned, it suddenly worked; may have been a coincidence.

Report Check-In

Great place to stay. Armando made us feel very welcome and answered all our questions. We did laundry and went to Popayán. Highly recommended.

Report Check-In

Be sure to do the fabulous walk on their property!
It was very easy to get into town by bus from here. Ask Maria for directions.
When we arrived, the entrance gate was locked and the door bell obviously wasn't working. Use your car horn to signal your arrival, they have a camera by the gate.

Report Check-In

nice place and owners. paid 15000 per person with wifi, hot showers, electricity, and kitchen facilities. They're quite used to overlanders, so they can help you out with stuff. we could refill our chilean gas tank with the help of armando

Covered area with tables and benches available to sit under if required. There is a hob to cook on and a sink to wash up in if required. Only a short taxi ride from Popayan. Highly recommended.

Report Check-In

Great place to chill. Beautiful views of valley, hiking trail to river, short bus/taxi ride to town centre and strong wifi, proper gas cooking facility. We paid cop 30,000 for 2 people per night with electricity plug available. Came here for one night and stayed three..even then we could have stayed longer...there is propane gas station, small supermarket, small eating places 10 mins easy walk. We caught the local bus from main road to center costed cop1500pp. Taxi on way back as it was late at night costed cop15000. There is a good italian restaurant where local bus drops you in city center next to church. Watch out google map may take you to a wrong entrance. At main road next to propane station turn left and drive for 500m you will see the sign for ecoparque.

great place! Super friendly owners! when we arrived he brought us agua de panela and cookies. super awesome to be able to do our own laundry.

Report Check-In

We stayed here twice, before and after Tierradentro, first time was really nice and met 3 other over landers here. Second time was a Saturday night and the owner is so nice he played very loud music under his house for a large group of young people in tents which went on until 4a.m. Then at 5am a car arrived and blew its horn at the gate until the owner opened it! beware large groups of Colombians! The road to Tierradentro is paved for 20 miles after which 4wd and high clearance required due to road works and major land slides. It had rained heavily before we returned and needed low box to get through deep mud in places. But the views are spectacular especially around Tierradentro.

Report Check-In

very nice well-kept privat place. lots of space, very friendly and helpful owner. you will enjoy the place as we did. power possible, good free wifi. there are two gates in to the place. use the gate at pos. N02.51348 W76.53875

Report Check-In

Great place! You can let your vehicle there for 5000 pesos per day and take a bus to tierradentro (don't go there with your vehicle unless you have a 4wd, they are paving the road so it's really muddy, also there seems to be lots of rocks regularly falling on the road.)

Report Check-In

Great stay with lovely people. Washing machine (10k), clean bathoom & Wi-Fi for 10k/pp. Dog freindly.
