Latest Check-Ins

little pull out of dirt road near highway. not much wind protection or scenery but good for a sleep.

Report Check-In

No more boondocking here. Must park in campground. $20/ night. Signs everywhere saying to only camp in campgrounds.

Report Check-In

No longer free! And all old spots have no camping signs.

Report Check-In

these are paid sites now, $20 per night. we spent a quiet night here.

Report Check-In

This place is permanently closed.

Report Check-In

Coordinates take you off the road which I didn’t explore because it was after dark but all spots on the BLM road are marked “No Camping”. Didn’t stay.

Report Check-In

Sign at beginning of road says “Camp only in Campgrounds” which is $20/site. Too bad this was a really nice area to Boondock.

Report Check-In

As described. Just wanted to add that it rained fir about 2 hours. The main road was perfectly fine, but the pull offs were very sloppy. We got out fine, but we were parked right off the main road.
Good T-Mobile. Quite a few other campers.

Report Check-In

Stayed three nights with about 30 other campers. Easy access from the highway and doable with any rig. Pit toilet close to the dinosaur track trailhead. Good cell service on ATT. Free!

Report Check-In

Established BLM campsites. Good dirt road in. Lots of rigs for mid-week in October. All sizes of rigs and lots of space to turnaround. Getting decent Verizon LTE. Pit toilets throughout. Nothing great, just a place to stay

Report Check-In

Pretty popular place but found a spot to park for the evening with no problem. Checked out the dinosaur tracks in the morning before heading out

Report Check-In

This is a solid option - I’m here on a Friday evening and it’s just me and one other boondocker. Beautiful sunsets - a few miles from arches - pit toilets to boot!

Report Check-In

Still open and free, although there are some spots, in particular on the left as you head to the easy-to-get-to Dino tracks that are marked no camping or “no camping down this (side) road”for revegetation purposes. There are many, many, spots with fire rings open. What a great site!

Report Check-In

Half the sites here have been smoothed over and blocked off. Piece of heavy machinery out here too so they are still working.

I had read BLM was putting in $20 sites here due to trash, people camping wherever when it is busy, and parkimg conflicts with Dinosaur Tracks/bikes/camps.

Seems to be a pattern a lot of popular places lately. People do not know how to treat common land I suppose.

Looks like no more dispersed here pretty soon. Too bad, because it is beautiful. I hiked up the Alaska bike trail to overlook Salt Valley & Arches at sunset. Stunning.

Report Check-In

Two miles down the BLM road gets you far enough not to hear highway traffic. It does get pretty windy and dusty here but it helps keep the heat down. The dinosaur tracks are awesome. Go up to the right of the parking area and put toilet on the Dino-Flow trail. Follow it to the hiking-only trail just near the Mega Steps biking trail. Follow the yellow dashes painted on rocks to get to the dinosaur stomping grounds. There are something like 2300 Dino prints over a couple acres. What a great thing to see. Plus no crowds like at Arches or Canyonlands.
Three bars LTE AT&T.
Nice smooth road that any size camper can fit. Lots of places for camping and not as crowded as BLM roads closer to the parks.

Report Check-In

Huge open area with minimal vegetation. Very good Verizon data 50/12 in the right spot. Nice road, all vehicles can use it.

Report Check-In

Great BLM with lots of pull off spots to camp. It was quite busy when I arrived on a Sunday at 3p but I was still able to find several open spots. Beautiful view of the snowy mountains. Bike and hiking trials nearby. One vault toilet at the entrance. Road isn’t too rough, just a little bumpy. VERY dusty and windy though, I had to keep my van doors shut because dust was flying into the van like crazy. Good Verizon service.

Report Check-In

Stayed about a mile from the actual gps coordinates on a pull about 1 mile in from hwy. Quiet, no hwy noise. Great place to view the stars and milky way! No services here, just open space!

Report Check-In

Flat spots, fire rings, pit toilets, trails right outside your door, and good cell phone service. Good views of the desert and mountains in certain spots. What more could you want? First two(ish) miles of the road accessible with low clearance and two wheel drive.

Report Check-In

Lots of camp spots out here. Super quiet and far enough off the highway to get away from the noise. There are a lot of campers out there now. Weather is perfect. Stil lots of room to spread out.

Report Check-In

Didn't go so far because the gravel road was not good for us. But park before in very large spot with fire ring, beautiful view. Alone, safe. Free. No amenities.

Report Check-In

Had the best night ever. Sky was just perfect! I saw the Milky Way for the first time! No light pollution, easy access even with a low clearance car. You need to drive a little bit to find the restrooms.

Report Check-In

Only saw 2 camp spots with fire rings. Area was covered with snow. Quite until about 10:00 with visitors hiking.

Report Check-In

bathroom is extremely smelly. road is washboarded but not badly.

Report Check-In

It’s possible to park closer to the highway, right past the railway. Decent spots all along.

2 miles from the highway.
Trailhead to Copier Ridge Dinosaur Tracksite (500ft) and many mountain bike trails.
Pack it in, pack it out. One outdoor pit toilet.

Report Check-In

Great flat parking with several spots to camp. This area has several hiking and mountain biking trails. There is even a very clean out toilet with TP about .5 mike up the road from these coordinates. A great place to view the stars and to get an early start at Arches or Canyonlands.

Report Check-In

Several boondocks sites near the Dinosaur Tracks trail and the Klondike Mt bike trails. Getting more and more popular each time I visit, so it may get regulated at some point.
