Perfect place to stay and visit the National park of Cotopaxi. I stayed for sic days to raise my chances of seeing the volcano without clouds. The owners are really friendly, helpful and know lots about the area (for example the exact way to get to nicest spots in the parc). 7$/night for RV and one person. 220V possible if you park close to the tool shed building. Wifi is there also really good to the car.
Report Check-InNice place! Really beautiful and close to Cotopaxi.
Good phone connection, we didn’t check the wifi.
5$ pP for one night.
We would have stayed longer but unfortunately the dogs at the campsite didn’t get along with our dog.
Report Check-InAs described - one of the best places we have stayed at. Well maintained, great ambience, and a great deal at $10/rig ( with power )
Report Check-InDuring a state of emergency (cancelling of fuel subsidies), which resulted in road blocks all over Ecuador and violent demonstrations by thousands in Quito, we could hide at this place for nine days. Fortunately, Adrian and his restaurant crew pemperred us with tasty dinner dishes. Possibility to do your laundry. Cosy place - recommended. Cash only
Report Check-InVery nice place with swiss owners. Ismael and his son Adrian are super friendly. Very good facilities and a restaurant if you want. Power, water, wifi, facilities for 5$/pp
Report Check-InA lovely Swiss-style hotel which also allows campers. The grass is flat, there's an outdoor sink and possibly fire pit too, toilets and showers. It gets cold at night, but the restaurant has a cosy fire and well-priced drinks (though food is a bit pricey). Wi-Fi isn't strong but it seems incredible they get it here at all! Hotel is well signed, about 1.5km from the panamericana.
Report Check-InEverything still true. very nice place and people. Would stay here again.
Report Check-InEnough space for big rigs and motorcycles with tents. Very descent toilet and hot shower. $5 pp for camping. Way more expensive for a room ($66 for private double room with breakfast!!). Very cosy Swiss-style hotel with fireplace. Restaurant offers good food and drinks all day long, but expensive ($8,5 for breakfast, $14,50 for dinner menu, $2,60 for hot chocolate...). Very slow WiFi.
Report Check-InNice flat spots to camp. Beautiful old hacienda makes a peaceful backdrop. Baby llama when we were there was too cute. Ishmael led some children that were staying there around on his horse. Walking distance to highway where pickup taxis will take you up the rough road to the Refugio hike in Cotopaxi.
Report Check-InWe loved this place. Very quiet and relaxed with a wonderful view of Cotopaxi volcano if sky is clear. $5 pppn for tent camping. Amazing hot shower. Bathrooms nice and clean. Restaurant a bit pricey but the food is good. Outside tables and chairs with fire pit and sink. Does get cold at night as it's over 3000m. Wifi barely works. Could have stayed here for ages.
Report Check-InLovely lovely old hacienda with big grassy lawn and space for vans and tents. Big harmless dogs that sometimes are a bit growly at night but no big deal. Fireplace indoors! The owners don’t live here but there’s a guy named Adrian who works here and speaks English, Spanish, and German. Gets very cold at night and is beautiful but freezing for camping. Safe.
Report Check-InWe payed 8 dollars for 2 people. Very nice place but be carefull the road there are many holes.
Report Check-InComing from the north drive past the exit for Cotopaxi, immediately past the overpass is a dirt road on the right. Large sign for the hotel is by the road. Drive the dirt road for appx. 1 mile hole following the signs for the hotel. Road is dirt but easy to drive. Friendly owners, clean bathrooms, turkeys & Lazy St. Bernards on property. Very nice place. WiFi is very slow but works for checking emails, short Google searchs.
Report Check-In**Note** If you are heading South, do not get off the exit for the park entrance. Continue under the overpass, and then watch for the large sign on your right for the hotel. It will be about 1/2 mile past the bridge. Turn right onto the dirt "road" and follow the signs. The last part of the road, is narrow, one car wife. We made it fine with a big rig,but tree branches drag. The camping spot was ok. It rained most of the night, so wifi and data was extremely slow. We were able to hook up electric, other 220 and 110 available with an extension cord. Lots of large dogs around leaving large land mi es, so be careful walking. Bathroom and shower available. Fireplace inside the restaurant. There is a mailbox to send mail I side as well. Good for overnight stay before or after Cotapaxi.
Report Check-InThis campground is in the grounds of the hotel. Note the hotel is listed twice on the map. I believe this is the correct location. Plenty of level ground to camp, nice and quiet. Great information from the receptionist. Some strange hotel guests kept us out of the bar, atmosphere as if someone had died. Heading south the access is immediately after the Cotopaxi off slip, follow the rough road, ignore the right turn, it then drops down through a river bed, and then climbs, at the top there is a sign for the hotel, turn right. The road is then narrow and rough. Shouldn't be an issue if you take it slowly.
Report Check-Inpetit coin tranquille, chemin pas très bon mais cela vaut la peine .5$ par personne. le propriétaire parle français et est guide de montagne.
Report Check-In8 per person per night. too much for a hot shower. there is internet in the restaurant but we were told it was super slow so did not bother. the place is fine just not worth the price.
Report Check-InLarge area for tents, campervans and trailers with showers (hot water) and toilets. Price 5 USD per person. Swiss Owners.
