Description

Monastery that dates back to 1604. Today about 5 monchs live here and offer guided tours through the monastery ( 6000 COP per person, 3000 for children). Opening hours 9-12 and 13-17h
A part of the monastery is a Hotel. Follow the road to the parking next to the Church. There you can park for free (also stay overnight). Just walk through the door next to the church and ask for permission.
We found a free WiFi without password on the parking lot. There are restrooms during the tour, not sure if they are available on request.
You can also buy honey and other things from the monastery.
Btw. the desierto (desert) in the name does not refer to the vegetation but the spiritual aspect

Still 6000 for a tour. Given by a girl that rushed through it and didn't really give us the time to enjoy the paintings and surroundings. Was not worth the money for us!
