Description

Wild camping space for a couple of vehicles in shady spot on Talpona Beach. Further along beach are a few simple stalls selling great seafood for low price and a couple of bars with wifi available. If approaching from North, drive past all stalls/hotels and just as road swerves away from beach, turn left down dirt/sand track. We parked under trees basically on the beach for two night, no problem. Locals said it was fine.

still a wonderful, quiet and very convenient place. A lot of shade, perfect beach. The 50m nearby restaurant serves excellent fresh fish. The sand may require 4x4 and diff block.

We spent the night here and meet 3 other overlanders. Police came in the morning accompanied by an “official”. They asked us to not park on the sand, because we need permission to park there. We asked how to get one, and he said that we had to talk to the “official” guy and drop by the police station before parking there. We left, but the restaurant nearby told us that they wanted a bribe.

Beautiful quiet spot and blissfully undeveloped unlike all the beaches further up north.
Policeman showed up and asked if we’d paid anyone for permission to camp here. He brought along a guy he introduced as “elected official” and said we’d have to talk to him for permission. Seemed like a subtle suggestion to offer the guy money. With no money offered by any of us, he asked us to park on the road instead.
Might have been the guy just trying and not a definitive no camping on the beach, so I’d say still try your luck. But please don’t pay bribes, or they’ll come back for more from the next overlanders.

Good location on the beach, firewood avaible from near by woods. I got water from local people staying 500 meters aways. Mobile network reception is poor. This is first time I'm meeting other overlanders in this trip.

After the closed Overlander Spot in Agonda we came here and liked it much more. You park under trees in the shadow. Very less people /tourists on the beach. Only 4 Restaurants, 3 with wifi. If you are lucky you can see turtles in the night while egg oviposition.
Maybe the next Overlander Meeting point in India!

The beach is beautiful, maybe the most beautiful in Goa. The camping spot is however difficult to reach with 2w drive. A few meters are very deep sand, we were able to do it with enough speed, but you might get stuck.
The food stalls are great, the place is very quiet and has amazing sunsets. Police told us to park at the street after the first night, but maybe you can pay him off. If he comes in the first place
