ROAD IS FIXED AND OPEN.
As of 3/4/18. Steep, winding, somewhat rough mountain road that gets very narrow in places on the western slope. The eastern slope is wider and unremarkable.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.

ROAD IS OPEN. This road was recently fixed and is passable. It is steep and very narrow in spots. Not a route for large RVs or wide vehicles. That said, the western side is beautiful with views of the mountain rivers and valleys all the way to the ocean.
Report Check-InDue to erosion this route is sections is impassable accept by bicycle or foot. Ask ahead if you want to cross the Sierra. no idea when this will be fixed.
