Description

Absolutely not closed!

We stayed a few days for 5000ARS / pp. with our van. Small pool. Community space with shared kitchen. Multiple electrical outlets. Wifi medium. Possibility to rent fully equipped tents, cabanas or lodges. No possibility to plant your own tent! Hot showers. Potable water. Camping super clean, almost too much sometimes not to be able to use the space quietly. Roland has a very helpful and extremely friendly welcome.

Small camping site. Mostly pre-set up Glamping tents. Although space for a few truck campers or vans. 5000/pp. Includes swimming pool, cold outdoor showers but hot water in bathrooms. Individual palapas.

Latest Check-Ins

Can not really recommend this place for people with a (small) campervan. Quite expensive (20'000 clp for two) to park on a cramped gravel space. Showers were cold even though they should be warm the whole day. However, the bathrooms are very (!) clean. Cleanest we have seen in a while.
To overnight in fix tents it seems to be ok. No idea which price.

It is now CLP20 000 for 2 and a camper, which is really expensive to park in a gravel parking, with no power hookups and a shower that sometimes worked and sometimes didn’t (water pressure seems to be an issue). Internet speed fluctuated a lot, in the evening it was really bad and in the morning was very good.

Really nice camping just outside of San Pedro Centro. We were there for 4 nights with small campervan 16,000 pesos per night (2 people + campervan). Quite big communal house with fully equipped kitchen. Wifi was really good since we could watch videos on our phone (so we dont think it is slow as stated in iOverlander). Toilet and shower were really clean and neat and hot water! There is an astrotour at the camping 20,000 pesos pp if you stay at the camping, otherwise 30,000. Unfortunately we had cloudy nights so no review. Would definitely recommend to stay here if you dont like being in the middle of the centre with cars and lots of people.

Nice camping with pool, kitchen, washing machine (extra), barbecues, common room, good wifi (they now have a star link satellite so it works really well). 8.000pp if you have your own tent or vehicle. The only thing is that they don't have much space for people with their own camping gear or van, as the space is taking by their yurts and tents (that they rent). So you might go up there and not have space, but it's worth asking as the camping is nice
They also offer stars watching tours !

Paid 8.000 pp/pn to sleep in our van. It was full on a Friday night but they allowed us to park under a canopy in the shade. It was quiet until about 11pm when a huge group of people starting socializing outside in the community area until about 1:30am. Old doggo barking intermittently overnight too. Bring earplugs. Clean bathrooms, hot showers, a small pool, and community kitchen and bbq area.

We paid for 6000clp pp to park with our car and own tent, wifi just enough to connect, good showers and hot water, small swimming pool, common areas, power, kitchen and fridge, friendly owners

Excellent camping for overlanders. Quiet and peaceful place. It offers electricity, a small kitchen and communal area, very clean bathrooms, hot shower, Wi-Fi and a small pool to cool off after a hot day on the road. Livia is an excellent hostess, very caring and helpful. We stayed here for two nights. We recommend it! The daily costs 5000CLP / pp.

Very nice camping for the price in Chile! A lot of places to chill around the pool. Flat ground for overlanders. Very clean bathroom with hot water. Lovely owners!
Just don’t count on the Wi-Fi, it is very slow.

5000CLP/ppn in a campervan, clean bathroom, hot shower and friendly owneress. A little swimming pool and possibility to cook in the kitchen. A nice and cheap place to rest after lot of wildcamping in the desert.

Report Check-In

Not worth it at all, the owner really don’t care about Overlanders, facilities are ok but wild camping in Chile has been way nicer than staying in parking lots. WiFi slow, small kitchen and only 1 toilet available. Not pet friendly as there are 2 other dogs in the property

We liked the place. Still 5000 pesos pp. Cleanest campsite of Chile. Easy access via the road to Calama. Don’t take the dirt road from town, that one is too small for big rigs. Place for at least one extra tent (with shade) and a few big rigs (no shade) Toilets, showers super clean, even in the corners ;-). They keep the mini pool cool and refreshing, even in hot summer. Very friendly landlady. WiFi and hotness of showers go up and down during the day. Nice views, they made a platform to watch the scenery better. Hill behind campsite to climb on to have the best view. Outside the overcrowded town, which we appreciated. Taxi can be arranged to town. 4000 pesos one way.

We stayed one night. Its 5000pp. Hosts were welcoming at first but not exactly willing to help with our questions; it just felt like they were mainly focusing on their glamping-guests.
Showers can be warm but during rush-hour its more of a cold drip-system.
Wifi is alright at the reception but barely reaches the car park. They have nice seating areas but your car will be parked in the sun with no shade around.
We went to Andes Nomads instead and loved it.

Ok campground if you don't want to wildcamp. Still 5000pp. Friendly owner. Acces road could be difficult for big rigs due to narrow turns. Acces to campground itself is without limits. Clean bathrooms, a kitchen and fridge and a swimmingpool are yours to use. For the moment no shade on the overland parking (they are improving the whole campsite, so maybe in the future). Not the best campground, but for 5000 def. ok in SAP! They have 2 large barking dogs, don't be afraid, they are very friendly (Pepe and Jake).
