Something not right?

Description

We stopped at the ranger station and the officer there told us we could follow the road another 4 km and take a left right before the bridge to get to a nice free camping spot. If you want a pay campground with amenities, there are plenty to choose from. We went with this campsite because of the seclusion and views of the sea. The little road continues from here and you may be able to follow it all the way to the beach; we weren't aired down and didn't explore much past this point.

Latest Check-Ins

Access is cut off by a fence, entry not possible.

Report Check-In

Easily accessible for any type of car. As described in previous reviews, take a left before the bridge and you'll access a large and flat grass field, quite open to the wind (we didn't need it but there was a spot protected by a sand dune closer to the road). Site unfortunately has a lot of garbage.

Report Check-In

Take a left before the bridge. No 4x4 needed. The two dead horse bodies that are rotting away are a bit of a turn off. Not a pleasent sight but no smell. But past those are nice grassy spots with firepits to stay overnight. Nobody around.

Report Check-In

Nice place with oceanview. Area is grassy and you could drive without 4WD. Some cows and horses woke us up in the morning. Night was quiet, only oceansound.

Report Check-In

Nice place to spend the night. Go left just before the bridge. You can swim in the water nearby.

Report Check-In

A good spot that is obviously used a fair amount. Very windy and wet (it is autumn!) and a great sound of surf. Lots of cormorants and vultures around.

If you just cross the bridge and stay on the main road you'll eventually have direct beach access. There are plenty of tire tracks out here on the beach and in sure you could wild camp there but you'll need to air down.
