Traveling through all of Central and South America, this has been by the far the best hostel I’ve been to. Safe neighborhood, newly renovated, AMAZING breakfast ($3,50) and dinner ($5) by their in house chefs. Dorms are around $12,50pp and the private rooms are 30 or 50 a night. There is street parking outside for a van, bikes or small rig. they also have a separate house that accommodates bikes and motorcycles and is super safe! Would highly recommend staying here. The owners/owners son are from the States and are amazing people.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Great hostel! Best so far in 4 months of SA travel. Clean, clean clean. $20 for two people. Safe place for bicycles. Very quiet and endless hot water. Tea and coffee available. They were not preparing breakfast or dinner when I was there for 4 nights because the train isn’t running and not enough people are staying at the hostel.
Report Check-Inabsolute great place to stay. paid 20$ for a double room with great bathroom. we could park our bicycles inside. it was all super clean, coffee & tea included. stuff very nice and location just great. highly recommend this place!!
Report Check-InEverything nice and clean. But there is sadly no kitchen to use (even if there are two).
Report Check-InWonderful hostel, as described before. staff really helpful and speak excellent English. All facilities are immaculate. Dorms mixed. But that's OK. Bathrooms are better than many 4 star hotels. Amazing. Highly recommend.
Report Check-InSuper friendly owner Marcos (big runner who organizes an annual run that draws 3,000 runners from all over the world). He brought us to the trail head of La Nariz De Diablo in his truck for free! Beautiful hike and way better views than what you'll get on the $33 train ride. I parked my moto in a house next door for $2 a day/night. $12.50 for a bed in dorms. Very clean and modern hostel. Perfect spot to relax a couple days especially after camping in wilderness for a while
Report Check-Inlooks very nice as described on the reviews, except you can not longer put the motorbikes on the house nearby. o stayed in another hostel because i didn't want yo leave my motorcycle on the street.
Report Check-InAs described. great place. the facilities are great. I felt awkward using the kitchen. At first it seemed like he didn't want me to use it. But I used it.
Report Check-Ingreat place to stay and the food is amazing! breakfast is $3,50 and dinner is $5!
Report Check-InWhat a great hostel!
I came here because of the other reviews, and they were all accurate.
What was once the family home has been beautifully converted into a grand hostel. The beds, pillows and sheets are high quality.
The food is also amazing!
$12.50 Mixed dorm
$3.50 for breakfast (Eggs with ham and cheese, bowl of fruit with yogurt)
Really enjoyed our stay here. Beautifully finished and modern. Very clean and well cared for. This is a complete gem, you will not be disappointed!
The very friendly staff let us park our motorcycles indoors in their house nearby. The chef-cooked $5 dinner was outstanding! one of the best meals we've had on the trip.
Definitely the best hostel we’ve stayed at in South America as well! It’s a new place and everything is high quality- the beds are super comfy and it was an amazing nights sleep. Breakfast is not included but for $3 is excellent value. Dorm beds were $12.50 and the dorms have 2 huge bathrooms.
Report Check-InBeautiful modern place, friendly owner. Was able to park bike in his house nearby. Scalding hot showers, much needed after 6 hours of cloud driving.
