Report Check-In

We stayed there for 2 nights without any problems, but this morning they mounted a sign „no overnight camping“

Report Check-In

Perfect place next to arches Park. We spent 2 nights with no problem.

Report Check-In

Stayed for one night while passing though town. Not very scenic, just a parking lot off the highway. The lot was totally full of other rigs by 9pm.

Report Check-In

Stayed here for 4 nights without any trouble. It’s a parking lot right off the main road so it is a bit noisy. There’s a good amount of semi tru k traffic going by however it didn’t bother us much. The location is perfect, right outside of Arches NP and Moab. The restrooms at Arches visitor center were open all hours and there was water there. Worked perfect for us! We were always able to find a spot but there were at least a few others staying each night.

Report Check-In

Were nervous about over-nighting anywhere within Moab city limits. As stated before, this is just a parking lot, no facilities. Almost all spots were full when we pulled in around 8pm.

Report Check-In

Spent 3 nights at this spot to visit Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. Lots of people come here to camp in their vehicle at night, but I was still able to find a spot for my car each time, even if I was coming in at 11 p.m. (on weekdays in mid-September). Next to the highway, but mostly quiet at night until 7h a.m. If this place is full, a local told me that the boat ramp (2min away) is another option (with other locals also sleeping in their car)

Report Check-In

Arrived about 10:30pm. One van and a few campers. I slept fine, only heard little traffic from the main road. FREE and super close to Arches. About 50 mins to Canyonlands. ~ no amenities ~ no trash cans ~ be mindful

Report Check-In

Spent 2 nights here. No facilities but there is a rest area and a park with facilities just on the way into Moab 2 minutes down the road. Pack out your trash and go to those toilets if you have to. We shared with 4 other campers and felt really safe. Really close to Moab, Arches and Canyonlands.

Report Check-In

It’s free. No amenities. Just off highway across the river in a parking lot Great views. Highway noise. Be responsible and pack it in & pack it out please. Verizon 2-3 bars.

Report Check-In

Ficamos duas noites aqui, com vários veículos de recreação, lugar seguro e próximo a entrada do Archs N.P.

Report Check-In

We stayed two nights here, 4 days apart. It’s so convenient after a day of errands in busy Moab. It’s 2 miles from Arches entrance and next to the bike path.
Only for smaller vehicles, 24ft and less.
Dark. We heard the traffic, but not as bad as a rest area on the highway, for example.
It sometimes fills up late at night and people leave early in the morning.

Report Check-In

If you‘re just looking for a place to sleep (car, RV) for free next to the Arches NP - that’s your choice! Busy and noisily!
For all others: keep on looking!

Report Check-In

Pretty standard parking lot. Easy to get to. It is right next to the highway, so you will hear cars. Conveniently located.

Report Check-In

3 nuits ici sans problèmes. Bruyant le soir et le matin car proche de la route mais calme la nuit. Très couru, beaucoup de campeurs et seulement 10 places.

Report Check-In

A bit noisy but slept very well anyway. Probably the free spot that is the closest to Moab. There were just 3 other vehicules when I arrived at 8 pm.

Report Check-In

It’s not the best place but it is the best bet in Moab if you can’t get a spot along the river in #128. Traffic noise and some lights from the hotel but leveled, safe and very close to Arches

Report Check-In

Nice place, we arrived a 7pm and it was full at 9pm. Lot of highway traffic when we stayed there but very close to Arches and free! No restrooms.

Report Check-In

We pulled over at 10pm and there was nobody here. It felt lonely but we stayed for the night. All good.

Report Check-In

very close to arches national park. some light pollution from nearby hotel. a car passes on highway every 10 minutes. free. very easily accessible.

Report Check-In

Great place near Moab. There was only one other car there on the weekday I stayed.

Report Check-In

After a short sleep near the town park in a quiet side street, we were woken up by the county sheriff asking us to move along.

Note that it is strictly enforced in the townsite of Moab, but the polite and courteous officer was kind enough to inform us of this posted location, that is outside of town, just north of the bridge. The officer mentioned that across the bridge towards arches is not in the town county and that there will be other people there.

The spot is a parking lot for about a dozen vehicles sandwiches between the highway and a bike path. Although the highway sees a fair amount of traffic, it was quiet in the wee hours.

There are no restrooms, so be clean and do not leave any garbage. As always, this is a strict Leave No Trace spot. Also a good reminder to always be polite and courteous to the police themselves if they ever knocked. They appreciate, and care about your safety and may have good alternative suggestions for you.
