Description

BLM Land, many places and 2 Group Campsites. Excellent overnight or weekend primitive campsite. Located approx 4 mi from NV-160 along paved but narrow and rough at speeds over 35 mph. Site is big rig friendly and has a pull through layout. However, there are few turnarounds for big rigs on Lowell Canyoun Rd if the entrance is missed. Approximately 1 mi north on Lovell Cyn Rd is a fairly steep downhill portion. There is a large level turnaround area on the left at the foot of the downhill section. Site has great views being located at approx 4500 ft elevation. Located 100 ft from LC rd but traffic is very minimal during the day. Great OHV trails in the area. There are several excellent sites along LC rd but the area gets a fair amount of Las Vegas campers coming to the area starting mid day fri and through the weekend during moderate temperature months.

Beautiful spot! Lots of pullouts all along this road for up to a 14 day stay. Several others camping along the road as well. No services. The road is paved and there is easy access to the camping spots. About 40 minutes from the Strip.

well paved road with dirt pull offs. No water, good internet. Nice and quiet and pretty clean

Very nice spot to spend the night (or more). Fabulous views. Self built firepit, no other facilities. Clean up after you leave!!

At site 45548. Great views all around. Nothing on site but a fire ring.

Some great camping spots. Had to go far enough in to find one that wasn’t occupied, even on a Thursday night. Beautiful out here! The spot I found was pretty private when I finally got one. Fair amount of trees

Awesome open space with fire pits. lots of OHV trails. Found a place Friday evening with no trouble.

Fabulous spot although a lot of toilet paper blowing around. You need to bury everything! people. Leave no trace.

Report Check-In

Really nice and clean. There was few rvs and tents so we didn't feel weird sleeping there alone. Even people in a Visitor Center in Red rocks canyon recommended it to us.

Report Check-In

Beautiful quiet places along the road with nice views.

Report Check-In

One of the best views I’ve had so far! Lots of places to pull off all over Lovell Canyon Rd. Road is paved and pull offs are gravel/rock. I like this spot and the ones beyond it up on the hill more than the spots closer to the main road because the views of Mt Charleston are insane. Had no Verizon service but 2-4 bars of 5g on Verizon. Beautiful sunsets. Beware that it’s about 10 degrees cooler here than in Vegas (which could be a positive or a negative depending)

Great place to boondocks for a few days.
Peaceful and easy access.
If you go about two miles from the why you can even find large tree that provide plenty of shade.

Report Check-In

Lots of sites up this road. We found a place a further off the main road and even had a little shade. Pack in pack out, there unfortunately was garbage on the site and nearby spots but otherwise a good spot!

Report Check-In

Recreation area. The first about 2km from the highway there are no camp places, thereafter ir starts and there are plenty of turnouts where one can stay for the night. There are trees, so some places can offer some shade.

A second night here for me on the way back from death valley to las vegas. Quiet.
