The campground is a bit rundown. But there is a nice sunset over the mountains and a lot of trees. The lake is shallow because of the drought of the last seven years. But there is still a beautiful landscape surrounding it where you can hike. And there is a small Minimarket at the campsite with really nice owners.

Caution: We didn't actually make it to this campsite because coming from the west on G-546 from San Antonio you need a four wheel drive to traverse the Santuario de la Naturaleza Horcon de Piedra before arriving at the Laguna de Aculeo. We had to turn around and return to autopista 78 and instead decided to go to Camping Millantú.
