Brazilian immigration and vehicle customs fully operational coming from FG into Brazil. Presumably exiting Brazil as well. TIP is issued here by friendly and helpful staff. Note the bridge opening times by danik.

Immigration and customs is open.
To get a TIP, you need to fill a form (www.edbv.receita.fazenda.gov.br) on internet. This is not possible at the border. You can do this next to the fire station in town.

The immigration here is working. But be aware of the opening hours. Sundays the bridge is closed. Otherwise the opening hours are: mo-fr 8:00-12:00; 14:00-18:00. Sa 8:00-12:00. So closed!
They told us it’s not a problem to cross walking as well but without a car it’s probably better to cross with the boat (15 R$or 5 Eur) because it brings you directly to st George.

Immigration and customs are still in town. This is the new building which was not ready by now. Make sure to stop and wait here until an official shows up even if the barriers are open!!! With our exit stamps already done we passed slowly in direction FGU because nobody was around. Reaching the other side of the bridge a police car sped up from behind and we were cut and held at gun point and treated like really bad guys. After taking us back to the brazil side and checking our passports again we were finally dismissed into freedom.
