Free camping gone. $20 with a reservation. I parked on the side of the road and car camped before the camp area and was ok.

Tons of flat sites, most with fire rings. pit toilets were locked in Nov 2020, but those at the main MTB parking lot were open (3-minute drive). Two bars of T-Mobile signal. Dispersed camping to be phased out in 2021. :-(

18 Road MTB Trailhead. Gravel lot and 2 pit toilets. Very quiet and beautiful spot for star gazing.

A return visit to MTB, once again! Note: Numerous Changes in Fall of 2020. New large parking lot in free BLM area with picnic tables. SAD NEWS: Improvement sign says Free/Disbursed Camping will be phased out. Please see attached photo for more info.

Packed with families and bikes on the weekends. decent 4G T-Mobile with an amplifier otherwise have to hike up on the ridge. Plenty of places to get away from the crowds on some of the back roads.
